我很汗，才写了35分钟，感觉该说的都说了，不会扩展了…… In the author's opinion, to increase people's efficiency so that they can have more leisure time is the primary goal of technology. However, if it is the only function of technology, the goal has never been achieved so far. Admittedly, the technological advancement has made our life much more efficient to a certain extent. For example, clothes and many other goods are made by machines instead of human beings; cars can take us to anywhere we want by the speed over 20 times faster than by foot; we can communicate with others online instead of writing letters or having a meet with them; we can find the book or news on a click of Internet instead of renting books or read newspapers. These kind of things indeed help us safe a lot of time, however, this kind of life in modern world may make us feel much more pressure than ever before. Actually, in order to keep pace with the fast development of the world, everyday, from dawn to dusk, we are working or studying, using the time we safe with the help of the technological advancement. In my perspective, whether we can have more leisure time is not depended on the technological advancement, but on the environment we are in and our own attitude towards life. If we are working in a big company where everyone must work hard for fear of being fired, enjoying leisure time may seem impractical. Similarly, if someone is a workaholic who sees his work as all the meanings of his life, he can rarely spare any time to relax himself. There is an old saying that you become what you believe you are. Our attitudes determine what we will choose to do, work or relax, it is an individual choice having little connection with technological advancements. In addition, the primary goal of technology advancement should not be limited to only increase people's leisure time, it has made much more contribution to the development of human's civilization. The progress in the field of biotechnology can help cure and prevent diseases; advances in medical technology can allow for safer, less invasive diagnosis and treatment; advances in information technology make education more efficient; advances in transportations give us more freedom to go where we wish to. In short, education, health, safety and freedom are the proper final objectives of technology, not just leisure. All in all, how many leisure time we will have is not totally depended on technological advancement, it is also determined by our own choices of living. The function of technological advancement is also not to increase people's leisure times, the important contribution it has made in securing people's health, safety, freedom is also very important that should not be ignored.
