Is it necessary for society to make extraordinary efforts to save endangered species? The speaker claims not, for the reason that many species have become extinct as a result of natural process rather than human being. I disagree with the speaker for that the extinction of species is not only due to the natural process but also the pollutions made by human being.
No one can deny the fact that the industry pollution had destroyed ozone layer and caused many changes in weather, as a result of the development of science and technology. A number of species have disappeared from the earth since they can not adopt to the changed weather. Many beautiful fish are fast disappearing because of the severe pollution.In such cases, too much resources are invested in polluting activities and too few in pollution
abatement.During the past ten years, people pay more attention to the economic development and lose sight of the fact that pollution posed a threat to the continued existence of some species.
It is necessary for us ,strive as much as possible, to minimize the pollution, since we bear full responsibility for the consequences.Competition among the species is a continuing cycle in the animal food chain. Slaughter one species in the food web and you set off a chain alteration above or blew. Once the food chain is destroyed, chances are that many animals may be faced with extinction and mankind will have to face the challenge of survival as well. Though it is unknown how the self-nature to delicately arrange itself among the chains of food, every creature has had its own space for living since the beginning of the world.
The research, protection and sustainable utilization of species diversity are closely related to the existence and development of human society. People has been inspired by the birds and create aircraft with flapping wings. Swimming stroke , in which both arms are extended and pulled back together in a circular motion while both legs are thrust out and pulled back together, is a zoomimic sport. Animals are friends to us human beings and should be treated equally.
In sum , human being should keep the balance of the nature and the development of science and technology. The environment concerns everyone. Only when each of us is making efforts to fight pollution will sustainable development become possible.The government should endeavour to achieve the sustainable development of resources and sustainable development is the common target of human beings. |
