TOPIC: ISSUE121 - "At various times in the geological past, many species have become extinct as a result of natural, rather than human, processes. Thus, there is no justification for society to make extraordinary efforts, especially at a great cost in money and jobs, to save endangered species."
  Is natural selection the only factor that threten the wild animals' lives?Should human pay for the dying out of the animal species?Is the extraordinary efforts that made to save endangered sepecies necessary?

  I agree with the issue's assumption that in geological past,many species have become extinct as a result of natural,rather than human.Nature is curel,awfal weathers,natural enermys,lacking of foods all may cause the decresing in number or even the dying out of an animal specie.While,the humen acticity make all these effect companying with the developing of its society,and the damage it makes to the wild animal's lives is even larger.
  
  During the Cambrain,major animals species dying out because of the unparalleled cold and the lacking of foods.Albeit the species which surived from the disaster become stronger and many of them surived untill today.The natural selection is an process which can rule out weak species and make strong species become stronger.It isnot conflict with the natural processing and will do more benifits than harm to the biological circle.While the human activties are due to the human's needs,which,always conflict with the process of the nature developing and which may break down the biological circle in a certain place.

  Fifty years ago,the Tibetan antelope majorly died because the cold wheather and its natural enemies.But today,the huting and decreasing of its living place come to be the killer to them which,undoubtly caused by the human's activties.According to a rencent report,there are aproxmitly 10 million Tibetan antelopes in 1990,while the number decreased to 60 thousands in 2000 and the Tibetan antelopes are close to anihilation today.This sharp reduce in number can clearly reflect the human's guilt towards animals' depopulation.

  There are a lot of other species such blue whales and red-crowned crone which surived from a long period natural selection and now are in imminent depopulation because of the human's sin to the nature and to the specie itself.According to that,it is our duty to protect endangered species from dying out.

   On the other hand,protecting endangered animals is a meaningful activity since a species can be an special gene pool which represent a perticular kind of animal.And through these species,people may find several genral characters among spcies,people may also get benefits through bionics towards researching of these animals.The lose of whichever specie is a great damage not only to nature,to earth,but to ourselves as well.

  To sum up,although natural selection cause the antihilation of some species,the human actives plays an important role in it too.As the importance of the protecting endangered animals we can not avoid our duty to protect the endangered animal species.If we are regardless of this point, and ignore the protection of endangered species,our human certainly cannot surive on the earth alone.
