In this analysis, the author makes a recommendation that North Americans should take in enough soy in order to protect themselves from fatigue and depression. To justify his assertion, he cites a study which indicates that North Americans suffer much more chronic fatigue and depression than do Asians. Meanwhile, he points out that Asians 20 grams of soy per day on average, compared to that actually North Americans eat none. Another evidence provided is that isoflavones, which is a kind of physiochemical in soy, can help prevent disease to some extent. The reasoning suffers several flaws.
First of all, the author fails to establish a causal relationship between the diseases and soy. In referrence to the two studies, there is no signs about that North Americans who suffer fatigue and depression do not eat any soy. The statistic in the two studies has been presented in an average way, from which we cannot infer the special sample coincide with the conclusion. Even if there is some correlation between the diseases and soy, it is too presumptuous to amount the correlation to a causal relationship. Admittedly, North Americans have distinct life styles based on different culture backgrounds from Asians, which maybe results in different eating habits. In addition, the society in North American is of more competition than that in Asian, which may accounts for more patients suffering fatigue and depression in the former continent. Therefore it is more likely that the two facts above are both due to the diversity of cultures, rather than that one causes the other.
Besides, whether the example of isofalavones is reliable is still open to question. The description of isoflavones is too vague to lend any support. Even the assumption that isoflavones possess disease-preventing properties, what disease does it prevent? Does it contribute to keeping away fatigue and depression on earth?
Even if it works, how well does it work? Does it have any side effects? Without more details, the conclusion is of little solid ground.

Last but not least, the author ignores many factors that have impacts on the diseases. For instance, great pressure from work and study is crucial attribute to lead to that people are vulnerable to the diseases. It is more reasonable for the author to concentrate on what is responsible for the phenomenon.
In conclusion, the author fails to demonstrate a causal relationship between soy and the diseases, and lacking for legitimacy, the evidence cannot valid the conclusion. To better evaluate this analysis, we need know more about both the diseases and isoflavones. Furthermore, if we want to find some effective way to prevent fatigue and depression, we are supposed to do more researches about the causes.

During the development of the whole society of human beings, there are many persistent global problems.
As the process of globalization is advancing rapidly, we human beings encounter more and more challenges. The proposal that a global university where students concentrate in the worldwide issues is a wonderful vision, however, complexity of the society weakens it.

All countries and cultures become closer and closer due to globalization. If one country wants improve its conditions, the impacts imposed by other countries should not be neglect. Meanwhile, various crises are spanning their influences throughout the world, for which every country has obligations to lend support to solving these problems. For instance, global economic crisis emerged firstly in America but soon spread to every corners of the world and finally almost every country suffered from it. We are supposed to make concerted effort to fight against these global crises. Admittedly, a team is a good way in which all human beings can pull together. Furthermore, some problems beyond one country's ability and thus cooperation is indispensable.
Take economic crisis for example again, one country's economic development is always based on commerce in two aspects, national and international. Since globalization of commerce is the mainstream approaching further economic development, the economic condition of one country is vulnerable to the global market. In this respect, maintaining global economic stability is our common purpose and undoubtedly required endeavors from everywhere. In summarize, the idea of a global university whose intention is eliminate the threats to the whole world should be appreciated.
Though the idea is rather creative and reasonable, several crucial attributes remain open to debate before putting it into practice. We should take those obstacles into account. The primary one is that compared to the welfare of all human beings, the government tends to put more emphasis on profits for its own country. If the university is established, countries will have more interests in utilizing it than funding it. Meanwhile, each government will still keep secrets on advanced technologies since they are competitors as well as partners to each other. The university is a Utopia to some extent. In a review of history we can realize that unless human beings break out from the captivity of selfishness, wars and collisions will not completely disappear. So establish a university based on trust and harmony to solve problems about distrust and collisions is like begging a question.
In conclusion, faced with a host of global crisis, it is essential for us all to be united. A university can be representative of this attitude which will definitely be a general one throughout the world sooner or later. However, the situation we have to deal with is far from perfect as it stands since human beings still cannot abandon some illness. So we should not stop advocating peace and association.
