The lecture completely contradicts the passage. It is said in the lecture that Marco polo have traveled to China have many evidences instead of someone remain suspicious of he even traveled to china.

To begin with, contrary to the belief in the passage that Marco Polo never picked up any Chinese or Mongolian place-name in his books. The lecture said that the Persian is the main language in that period between china and Europe, so it maybe Marco polo used Persian instead of Chinese character to record the place-names of China.

Moreover, the speaker also refutes the fact that in the book of Marco polo failed to mention the popular pastimes and cultural practices of Chinese, such as the Chinese love of tea, the professor argues that in that period of china, drinking tea or teahouses are just popular in southern part of china.
