个人觉得PHD不必太纠结专业，除非是很技术的（比如保护里面涉及化学，材料，修复技术的），建筑PHD里面也包括古建，也很多包括规划题目，比如17,18世纪法国建筑什么的，甚至有时景观的题目也有。建议先看看各地P ...

you don't need them to list a special direction to HP. just look through their past papers ans see if there is anything interesting show up. or just contact them and ask if you shall apply there with your research interest, ask them to recommend some school at least. a phd in Architecture is basicly a PHD in anything related to architecture. and better not just read the title of the program, get into the brief, for example, the PHD in arch program in columbia says:
The program's focus is on the history and theory of modern and contemporary architecture and urbanism in an international and cross-cultural context, from the mid-eighteenth century to the present. Within this, a wide range of research is supported through the varied expertise of the faculty and through strong relationships with other departments throughout the University and beyond.
-----------meaning it can be urban or arch, but it have to be modern or contemperary time
On the other hand, I do have a friend doing PHD in Arch in HKU working on buddism architecture an preservation or re-adapt to modern time. because there are professors focusing on troditional chinese architecture.

PS以切身经历告诉大家其实读MASTER不需要本科毕业证的。因为总有一些拖拖拉拉不靠谱的学校要12月才发毕业证。。真怨念，吐槽下
