今天刚收到的邮件：
Thank you for keeping me updated on your quest for a scholarship. Our
Graduate affairs Committee met last week and determined that you are
academically acceptable for admission to our Department. The next step
in the admission process is to identify potential major professors IF you are successful in
obtaining the Chinese scholarship you described in your e-mail and
forwarded as an attachment.
Please have the appropriate Chinese authorities contact me regarding the specific details of your scholarship, if you receive one. Once I see that all of the appropriate documentation is in order, I will notify the Graduate Division at UC Davis that you are admitted to our University. I will send a signed hardcopy of this offer of admission by airmail. I hope to see you at UC Davis next fall.
还有个附件类似于confirmation letter，拿这个可以交给留学基金委了吧。 这个邮件应该就是可以免学费了吧，请大家指点。

背景不牛,30名左右的211+985学校,比较普通..
TOEFL: 阅读29,听力25,口语22,写作25,总101
GRE: V 420,Q 800,AW 3.5
GPA不高,算法诡异就不说了,直接说平均分吧,总成绩80,不高,也许上升的趋势比较有用,从大一的70多一点提高到大三的80多,大二大三拿过两次学校的奖学金,还都是三等...
无研究经验,无论文
在学校附近一家公司实习过,做的是文职工作,和专业没什么相关,也不知道是否起到了作用..
顺便...问一下,收到的邮件题目是"Syracuse University Conditional Admission Notification"..那个conditional弄的我毛毛的..信里说:
I am pleased to inform you that the admissions committee in Computer Science has found you academically qualified for admission for Fall 2009. I am doubly pleased to be able to inform you that you have been selected to receive a Graduate Student Grant. This grant will cover 30% of your tuition costs through completion of the master’s program in Computer Science. Congratulations on this additional distinction! However, we cannot issue our official letter of admission and appropriate visa forms until you have sent the necessary funding documents.
应该是只差个财产证明吧...寄过去了似乎就OK了?

I would say congratulations are in order. Your application was accepted on January 13, 2009 and a letter was sent to you to outline the details of that acceptance offer on that date.

材料和学校确认寄到的一周就给了，寄的算是挂号信吧，usps网上查状态到现在还是没有寄到，所以着急状态一直未变的同学不要担心，正常情况是会寄到的，有时候可能状态就没更新。网上查到的状态：accept/submit financial document,打电话给学校确认是ad。
anyway,以ad在新年到来的时候脱离三无还是很开心的，大家一起耐心等待！
补个背景吧，给版上有硬伤的同学们打打气。。感觉这家确实ad狂。。“好好学习”永远都不会错的。。能在学校里申的尽量申，拿工作经验来抵硬伤，边上班边申真的很辛苦。。

我看了University of Buffalo的Status上面写的Accept/Admit 在网上查了一下 应该是AD了 可是小米发给我的email很奇怪里面是这样说的

一个是UOA的....大年三十收到的...
信里说学校不回直接给MASTER奖, GA, TA之类的要等到学校了才能申请...
然后我就发邮件过去追问, 问出来一封很长的邮件....重点是说要我们自己找教授....(如有童鞋需要, 偶可以贴出来)
另外一个是雪城的, 大年初二收到的
信里没说奖的事....完全没提
等俺追问过去就说系里钱不够, 评奖要到三月一号.......貌似GRE占很大比重......好吧..估计我又没戏了....
希望同样拿到雪城的同学报个到, 顺便报下GRE分数...好让俺知道俺大致处于什么水平.....
