杜克的MA in Econ和MSEM都申了，结果奇葩的都拿到了，这两天大概会退掉一个。知道MSEM是一个新办的项目，所以信息了解不太多，有人去过这个项目的么？求指点。这项目看上去的意思像是经济课和经济的学生一起上，统计课和统计的学生一起上。
以及搭车问还有没拿到牛津结果的么？他家是不是把我简历扔了啊。。

我已经初步决定扔MA了，那个班规模毕竟也比较大，加上我对数学也挺感兴趣的，加上数学学扎实点没啥坏处吧。。。

皑皑~我看MA ECON大概也只有申PHD吧~总之我本人更喜欢数学一点所以大概还是从这个吧

额，其实我也还什么都没查呢（也查不到吧）刚发邮件给小蜜又问了一下，等人家上班后的回信吧。。。楼上也拿到了？

项目director的回信到了，全文粘贴如下~
MA Econ students take the same courses, if they wish, as MSEM students.
We do not offer separate statistics courses in the Economics department.
MSEM students will take courses in both departments, naturally. What
this means is that, as you suggest, MSEM students will take courses with
regular MA Econ students in the Econ department. There is no stand-alone
MS Stat program. In practice, you will take some courses with PhD Stat
students -- but also may take courses with PhD Econ students, or
Environmental Policy students for that matter.

We are hoping for an entering MSEM class of 7 (between 5 and 9) and
regular MA Economics class of about 60 (between 55 and 65).

不知道为毛director给的回复帖贴不出来（板上有限制？）总之就是MSEM和统计PHD、MA ECON 和经济PHD一起上课。然后一届大概7个人。MA ECON这一届大概60个人。目测有四分之一强的中国人吧（这话不是director说的）

如果按一般只有一半人去的节奏应该没有60，在50人左右~

他家第一轮就发了100个AD出来。后面貌似还陆陆续续发了一些？

Econ MA在读，我室友是MSEM的，他准备申请统计Phd

MSEM其实更加偏统计，duke统计系属于top10，我们这届是5个人，本科全部是数学/统计专业

另外更新一下，Duke Econ MA and MSEM最近跟美国劳工部（或者移民局？）申请下来了STEM，呗归类为Economertics and Quantitative Economics，与数理工科一样，OPT时间变成了29个月

对于找工作的同学是个不错的消息
