The Intelligent Autonomous Systems Lab (http://ualr.edu/cxye/laboratory.htm) of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock has one postdoc position. The postdoc position is renewable up to three years subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. The successful candidates will develop RGB-D camera based SLAM methods or 3D object detection methods for a wearable robotic object manipulation aid for the visually impaired.
Qualification requirements: Applicants must have an earned doctorate (or ABD) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline by the date of appointment. Desirable skills include programming in Matlab and C/C++ and experience in visual/graph SLAM or 3D object detection. Experience with Linux programming is a plus. Preference will be given to a highly motivated individual with experience in Linux programming and open robotic operating system.
The lab currently hosts research projects funded by the National Institutes of Health, NASA, and Arkansas Research Alliance.
