Ph.D. Research Assistantships Available Starting from August 2017
The digital medical imaging group in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois, USA is currently looking for highly motivated Ph.D. students for research on medical imaging, digital imaging, image processing, image reconstruction, and computer simulation. An important goal of this research is to develop novel imaging system to address the challenging image reconstruction and processing problems for industrial applications.
(1) Students with MS degrees in engineering (biomedical, electrical, computer, mechanical, instrumentation, etc), physics (medical, nuclear, optical, general physics, etc), computer science, or mathematics will be fully considered. Experience in C/C++ or other programming will be a plus.
(2) Students need to provide GRE and TOEFL test scores. There is no minimum requirement for GRE scores.
