9.5 作為老師是與學生有良好關係的能力重要,還是專業知识重要
As a teacher, especially for college teachers, teaching and research are two essential aspects of daily life. So when it comes to the question that which one is more important, professional knowledge or the ability to keep a good relationship with students? People may hold different views about this issue. In my opinion, taking all aspects into consideration, the ability to keep a good relationship with students is more important for a teacher.
To begin with, keeping a good relationship with students can stir students' enthusiasm, stimulate their creativity and improve their ability to think. For instance, in the college, students mostly like to communicate with a professor who is nice and easy-going. And in this way, they can easily have a better understanding of the subjects of the courses and also take more interested in the courses. It is not surprising that they can obtain a good grade in the end of the courses. For teachers, on the other hand, they also need less time to consider about how to motivate students to study and do not worry about the grades of the students. So it is a win-win situation for teachers and students.
Moreover, for graduate students, it is more critical for their mentors to have a good relationship with them since a good relationship can make a harmonious atmosphere in the laboratory and produce more research accomplishments easily. Taking my computer lab as a example, our mentor always cares and concerns about our research and career. He usually leads us to do hiking, eating and other recreational activities so that we can relive our pressures from study and research. Additionally, he always like to help those students whose family is poverty by recommending them to be teacher assistant or research assistant, which really reduce their financial burden. Therefore, our lab is considered as our second home and our projects mostly are finished on time and successfully.
In conclusion, a good relationship can greatly benefit teachers' teaching and research. Therefore, it is more important for teachers to have the ability to keep a good relationship with their students.作者: liuxiaoyin 时间: 2009-9-6 19:34:11

And in this way, they can easily have a better understanding of the subjects of the courses and also take more interested in the courses. It is not surprising that they can obtain a good grade in the end of the courses. For teachers, on the other hand, they also need less time(save the time) to consider about how to motivate students to study and do not worry about the grades of the students. So it is a win-win situation for teachers and students.
