The lecture efficiently challenges the reading from three aspects, emphasizing that the four-day workweek may not so advisable as the reading suggests.

First, the reading maintains the idea that by offering employees options of working a four-day workweek, the company could thereby increase its profits. However, the lecture believes the option only forces the companies to spend more. As less work can be done in the workweek for every employee, more training and medical benefit are supposed to hire more employees. Also, the increase of office space and computers for new workers contributes to the cut of the profit.

What is more, while the reading states companies will have few overworked or error-prone employees, the lecture totally contradicts it. The professor says when employees choose to work for a four-day workweek, to decrease the cost of hiring new employees, companies tend to ask employees work overtime, or raise expectation of them, even require the same amount of jobs to be done in the four days, which is quite unpleasant.

Finally, the objection of more free time to improve the quality of lives, underlined by the reading is at risk in the lecture. Less time for work always means less working ability and even harm the advancement of the career. For instance, those who choose to work for four days are the first to lose their jobs and most likely to be passed away when it comes to promotion, since the management need continuous coverage and consistent supervision.

The lecture uses details and examples to challenge what is written in the passage, the benefit of assembling a team to finish a new project. First, the reading believes that a group of people can work more quickly and creatively.

However, the lecture draw doubt upon the point by an illustration. A project is held by a team. As is common, those who do not contribute a bit also benefit as the recognition of a team member, if the team perform well. Others who work especially well even cannot have their names remained. Therefore, when the company asks how team members feel about the project, the attitudes are always against what the reading says.

In addition, when the reading maintains that making everyone's voice heard is very rewarding, the lecture says, it takes too long to reach to a consensus. One suggestion may be dropped or put forward by some influencer, with some disagreement ignored. But when the solution fails, the blame is to all the members.
