Many people think it arguable that government is supposed to pay more attention to health-care issues since they are connected to every member in the society. Yet, I think, for the long-term, environmental issues need to be the priority on the government to-do list instead of health-care.
Environment, where we live in, has a great impact on our every day’s life: with beautiful sceneries we can relax ourselves; with fresh air we can refresh our brains; and, more important, with a better living environment we can have a good condition in health. For example, living with contaminated water and polluted air can only eventually lead to a high cost of medicine and health-care fees. My aunt, who used to live near a factory which always emits(releases) poisonous gas, had a chronic lung disease at past(最好后能具体到前几年) just because of the factory(删). After her moving away from that place and heading to a new house with green trees around, she has been becoming much better than ever before. So a good environmental condition will do good to human's heath so that can cut the money that government supposed to invest on hospitals.
And also protecting our environment does not only benefit to nowadays, but also good for our next generation. Many places chase for the economic benefits blindly at the expenses of the degradation of our living condition and Earth. Scientists also predict that the resources will be used up without any control in consumption of the natural resource, at which all human being may went into extinction.(这个问题太大,恐怕说服力不够) So the Earth will disappear, what's the good of focusing on the health-care rather than environment? (跟上句类似,假设太极端了)If our next generation cannot have a better life, what's the good of paying attention not to the our living condition?
So, with the discussion above, I think environmental problems should be pay more attention to than health-care issues due to the long-term development.
