With the rapid technological advance, the world is becoming smaller and smaller that people can become familiar with many unknown places than ever before. Undoubtedly, televisions and worldwide computer connections change our traditional life to a large extent, but the effects of tourism itself can’t be overwhelmed. In another word, it wouldn’t become obsolete in a quite long period in my point of view.

The benefits and conveniences televisions and world computers connections have brought to us are beyond our imaginations. Observing our daily life, we will find that there are a lot of tourism programs showed on TV, which expose many new places to us that we have never been. Especially to those poor people, who can’t afford themselves to travels, it’s quite a good option to stay at home and be lead to another wonderful place followed with the vivid pictures and attracting verbal descriptions. Concerning the computer connections, it is ubiquitous, which provide us with much larger exposures of those unknown things. Another merit of the computer connections worthy of mention is that it renders us have the possibility to consult people there constantly and spontaneously about more detailed information of that place.

However, admitted the great effects of televisions and computer connections, we can’t overstate that anyway. As for my viewpoint, tourism experience will never be replaced or duplicated by other means. When a tourist go to one place, he himself can sense the special traditions and customs, to see the real life of those local people without any exaggeration or shrinking, to enjoy the sightseeing and historical relics with different angles not only by eyes. All of these fantastic feelings and experience, which we can’t obtain from flat television or computer screens. No wonder businesses of travel agencies are booming up with more disposable money people have, because through the tourism, they can relax themselves without pressures or heavy workloads.

It is obvious that these two parts I have mentioned above play important roles in our daily life. Actually, they are elements intervening with each other, can’t be mutually exclusive. Most situations are that televisions help people to know the information or even the promotions news of one place first, then people will check the details on the Internet. Also, since of the computer connections, online reservations of air tickets or hotel rooms become to be realized which bring people unprecedented convenience. With all those pre-works done, the most important procedure is that people will go to the place, consume money and time, enjoy their vocations. Therefore, we see that it’s a circle that can’t be separated.

In sum, we should better the quality of television programs of tourism and endow more functions to the computer or Internet to provide greater convenience to tourists. After all, tourism is a lasting experience, before people have fun in another place, they should do a lot of preparations. In that case, the whole trip will be wonderful and memorable as they expect.
