TOPIC: ISSUE208 - "The way people look, dress, and act reveals their attitudes and interests. You can tell much about a society's ideas and values by observing the appearance and behavior of its people."

The way of people's look, dress and act can reveals their inner parts, and therefore sometimes we can presume the society's ideas and values from these ways to some extent for the society is consist of the people. However, there are other possibilities that we cannot confer people's inherence just by using these ways. In other words, I partly agree with the author.

As the old Chinese always said "face forming comes from the true heart", the way people look, dress and act reflect their inner part, such as attitude and interests. For example, the artist who was the representative of freedom and imagination always dress in unbending cloth. Besides, no one will deny that the eyes are the windows of the heart and from the eyes, we can confer their thoughts. It is generally consider that people who can look into one's eyes is true-heart. And we always connect the British men with the gentleman for they often act politely。

Since society is consist of all kinds of people, to some extent we can presume the society's ideas and values by observing the appearance and behavior. Japanese, industrious and laborious, always dress in formal suit because they hold a consciousness thought of danger for Japan is a separate island and its resource was so limited. Without endeavor, they cannot survive within this small country. Similarly, Germen are well-heeled suit as their religious attitudes towards research and work. The women in Arabia country dress in black robe all the time, which was long enough to reach their knee and cover their heads because the tradition in Arabia is that women who let out their appearance are wanton.

However, to rely on the way of look, dress and act of people to understand a whole people is adventurous. The apparels of people are various and keep changing all the time by reason that people are inclined to follow the fashion and the mass. Moreover, with the great progress of the globalization, it is much easier to communicate with other country and some specific conventions become blurrier. For instance, in China more and more girls prefer to get married in the church and dress in snow-white rather than in bright red which foretell the felicity in the old Chinese tradition.

Furthermore, there are many ways to presume the society’s ideas and values other than look, act and dress. Diet habits are a superduper method to help us to make knowledge of ideas and values of one country. Koreans are accustomed to cook their food in a simple way and they always use the common plants and vegetables to prepare the flavors in order to make the food more delicious. This reveals that the Koreans advocate the frugality for the resources in Korea were deficient.

In sum, we can presume people’s inner heart and the society’s values or ideas by observing the appearance and behavior, but sometimes, trustless. Moreover, we can understand the society with other methods, such as diet habits.

我觉得这篇文章没你以前写的好，各个段单独拿出来感觉还不错，只是论述有点不够。但是文章的结构好像不是很合理，段与段之间的关系还要再安排下～
