The speaker alleges that it is worthy to invest much money on research in most conditions, even though some of these researches' results are controversial. I basically agree with the author's assertion, however, sometimes it is really necessary for us to cope with some situations carefully.

To begin with, investing money on researches is necessary for our human beings in most conditions. Doing research is an important behavior or activity for human beings to explore the unknown areas in many realms. Although many researches take much money, however, most of the results, coming from those costly researches, are helpful to the whole human society. Some of them can improve our daily lives' qualities remarkably, some of them may help our nations become safer, and some of them will lead many people to come true their life-time dreams. Chinese space program, for instance, is a very appropriate example to illustrate this point. The whole program will cost China a large amount of money, which is exactly a giant figure to a developing country such as China. After the program started, many people, both Chinese and foreigners, did not support the program. In their opinions, it is absolutely a waste of money to invest such a large amount of money to space exploration, because the space exploration is a highly risky affair, and they thought that China could not afford any failure, even just one time.  But after six manned-spacecrafts came back to the earth successfully, almost all the world people have praised Chinese for the great success we have achieved. Until now, the program is still under way steadily. The program can bring Chinese people many new kinds of fruits, vegetables and so on. Besides this, there will be many other benefits coming from the space program. From this example we can see that the investment on the space program of China is actually an excellent one, however, no one can imagine that at the beginning of the program, there are many people opposing it.

On the other hand, we should also pay special attentions to those researches which might cause serious harm to our human beings and also need much money. These programs are mainly in the military fields. We all know that science and technology are two-edged swords. Hence, it is rather dangerous if someone develops dangerous weapons on the bases of highly developed science technology under the excuse of defending one country or one sort of society. These people will spend a large number of money in buying materials which are the necessities of making weapons. Many similar activities are happening in North Korea, Iran and some other middle-east countries. All the people of the world should be alert to those few unsafe men. And the related governments should not invest money on those dangerous programs any more.

To sum up, as the speaker said, most of the money invested on researches is worthy; after all, almost all of the results brought from researches are of great values. But at the same time, we should always keep our eyes on some uncertain expensive investments. If not, maybe some day we will be harmed by our own fellows who might live on our earth too.

(这一段的论证很清晰，从TS，到说理论证，到举例，到总结，一气呵成的感觉，但例子后可以多说说这次research的意义，如果只说能得到new kinds of fruits和many other benefits，感觉不是很具体，可以从推动空间探索的方面多谈，从对人类进步的层面上多说说，否则就不能跟开头紧跟在TS后的说理形成照应了)
(另外，虽然说就这一段论证充分的，但关于为什么大多数researches值得投资可以再加一段，从research的其他价值再谈谈，对全文的支撑也就更有力了，个人意见:-) )

On the other hand, we should also pay special attentions to those researches which might cause serious harm to our human beings and also need much money. To sum up, as the speaker said, most of the money invested on researches is worthy; after all, almost all of the results brought from researches are of great values. But at the same time, we should always keep our eyes on some uncertain expensive investments. If not, maybe some day we will be harmed by our own fellows who might live on our earth too.

总的来说，整篇文章的结构是很清晰的，分论点也能对中心论点形成比较好的支撑，继续努力:--)
