麻烦生物的斑竹看一下，突然彻底傻掉

因为有的信息不想让别人看到，所以不想发在外面的论坛，但是MS一向目标很明确滴小弟，现在却突然开始动摇到底该申什么专业，请斑竹看下，谢谢

下面是我的研究经历，本来我的目标是生化，因为这种毒性比较大的东西美国人不跟俺争，但是刚才有人说我的背景还是申发育和癌症，但是这两个专业竞争比较激烈，感觉很遥远，请斑竹给点主意，该申什么呢？？？

• Conducted the study of the effect of Toll-like receptor 2 on tumorigenesis, including gastric cancer, intestinal cancer and lung cancer.
• Participated in analyzing the results of large-scale sequencing of the amphioxus neurula cDNA library.
• Screened one Rbx1 gene in amphioxus neurula cDNA library and studied its expression patterns and speculated the function of this gene in amphioxus.
• Studied comparatively the expression of TLR2 in amphioxus, carp and mouse by immunohistochemistry for understanding the molecular evolution of immune system.
• Participated in a projects concerning the developmental expression of a Toll-like gene in amphioxus embryos and larvae.

• Participated in Professor Rong-shu Fu’s academic activity of analyzing the relationship between soil types and soil micro-organisms

• Participated in Associate Prof. Fu-lin Hou’s academic activity of plant physiology, mechanism of water transportation

嗯，我倒是想陶瓷，但是我在国外念书的哥哥每次看了我给他写的信都会批评一堆，语法错，拼写错之类

最近又一次说“ Anytime before you send your email, try to correct any possible mistake, especially the grammar mistakes. Can you imagine that a professor would like to see an email with grammar mistakes and incorrect words when you are taociing with him?”

弄得我紧张兮兮不敢套了，哼唧，憋了这么久，终于有个地方发泄下，我哥哥不是版主，进不来，看不见，吼啦啦啦啦啦啦~~~

我想也是先进去再说，本身就是小菜鸟^_^

谢谢猫斑，但是有个问题，那写ps的时候就不能透露比较喜欢哪个方向之类的啦，如果这样写了，恰好这个方向学校不缺人，就挂了吧？

那关于专业的东西该怎么处理呢？

我研究经历的背景都是发育和癌症，但是我不申这两个，我就写我掌握了什么什么技术哈，但是学校网申表格有要填所申的专业啊：（

you'd better find someone else to review your paper work, cause your gege's english might not be that helpful. Below is the "grammar mistakes" and "incorrect words" in his comments:

Anytime before you send your email, try to correct any(all the) possible mistake(s), especially the grammar mistakes(those with grammatic problems). Can you imagine that a professor would like(would be happy) to see(read) an (taoci) email with(full of) grammar mistakes and incorrect(improper) words (when you are taociing with him)?

看来你没有明白我的意思
你透露你喜欢的方向当然可以
但是凡话都不要说死
你是本科生还是研究生
即使是硕士也只是大概的一个方向
要是你只想做一个exact的方向课题
那你就很难申请的 人家美国人也觉得奇怪 你那样就跟着你现在的老板好咯 对吧

我还想做cancer呢
我都不是科班出身 我还可能作相关的东西呢
很多事情很难说
如果是本科生就更没必要局限方向了

To 老大 生物类的不需要微分的 这里的数学超简单
Danny说的到位 真正诚恳给意见的人不是揪着英语不放的
申请那种上百Faculty大的Program的时候 方向无所谓
申请单独的比较小的系 肯定要说方向的 不说还申什么请 如果不缺人 只能说明运气背
不过哪个学校的Biochem不缺人的？没有把

偶觉得申什么专业都不是问题～生物很细～看上去大方向差不多可能细做起来完全是另外一套东西～如果陶瓷还是看教授课题～不陶就随便选啦～
