TOPIC: ISSUE130 - "How children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. Unfortunately, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society."
The speaker claims that how children are socialized today determines the destiny of society.The speaker also claims that we have not learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society.As is a disputable statement which can convince me to some extent.I concede socializing our children in which children can learn basic skills today is of importance for the future society.At the same time, our education system has some disadvantage that cause the low efficient education of socializing our children. Nevertheless, other factors may also be responsible for bringing about a better society and  perfect individuals.
Admittedly, how children socialized is of importance for the future society.One of the most impotrant objective of socialization for children is preparing themselves well before step into society.After the education of socialization on them, children can learn the basic skills which would make them survive in the society of competition as well as make them have the sense of contributing themselves to the society. Merits like fortitude, temperance, temperance, prudence and justice can help children grow up to be good citizens and effective leaders, as well as tolerant and respectful members of society.Unless a child is allowed sufficient opportunities for healthy interaction with peers, that child is likely to grow into an ineffectual, perhaps even anti-social adult.
However, socialization is only one factor influencing the extent to which the children will contribute to the society.And from my perspective ,it is not the important one. Taking certain splendid leaders who have contributed to a better society. Martin Luther King's devotement was the direct consequence of his strong religious upbringing, which tied more in the parental influence than in socialization. An even more remarkbable modern example was Theodore Roosevelt, whose social and physical development were both stunted by life-threatening physical infirmities during his childhood. He turned out to be a social-activist presidency by means of his will to overcome physical infirmities.
Moreover, Current evaluation system and social expectations on children forece them to cram in knowledge more than they can absorb, while equally important issues like indoctrinating traditional values, nurturing moral uprightness, reinforcing ethical principles and respecting and monitoring their emotions are placed at the end of our priority list. The end product of his prejudiced education is a generation of high-IQ-low-EQ children, lots of whom are intellectually competent but morally and emotionally crippled. Some show little respect to others and little tolerance to different ideas. Some are selfish, arrogant and dishnoest.
In sum,basing my conclusion on the illustrations and positions mentioned above, undoubtedly, I hold the position that considering the importance of socializing the children for the future the society , we should not neglect other factors which are also play crucial role in binging a better society.
