In today’s world, to speak well is more important than to write well.
Speaking and writing are both important ways for people to express themselves and are of the most efficiency for people to sell themselves. Some people hold the idea that to speak well is more important than to write well. However, I think they are both important and should assist each other to achieve our goal.

First of all, to speak well offers the most advantage in a face-to-face condition, such as a talk, an interview and son on, which we encounter more and more in today’s world. We easily believe that a person who speaks well is much more confident and gains a competent thoughts, hence he often can make other people believe him and thus obtain more opportunities in the modern society which is feathered as competition. A prime example is my friend Jack’s experience in an interview. I know that he is a versatile boy and is competent to take the job of Network Engineer in a small business company. However the only defect is that he can’t speak well, and failed in the interview while other people who speak well succeeded in place, with a relatively weak ability in the specialized field.

On the other hand, to write well is also important, as most of the time, writing is the first and the most crucial step to introduce yourself to others. In some cases, we don’t have the opportunity to communicate face-to-face, instead we employ emails and letters, in which the skills of speaking is nearly of no use. Taking applying an abroad job as an example, mostly we start our applying process by sending the employer an email in which we mainly introduce ourselves. If we write well and impress them deeply, then they may reply or appoint an interview. We can hardly imagine that a person who can speak well but poor at writing can succeed in such circumstance.

In general, we think high of both speaking and writing, however, when it comes to the problem which is more important, it varies according to different conditions. I think it’s ideal for a person to gain the ability of both speaking well and writing well.

resame是我写错了，应该是resume， in which句实际上是 the skill of speaking nerarly of no use in the resume.

我作文很差，并且文中多次出现一些低级错误，像拼写错误之类。
