Dear Mr. Su:

Congratulations and welcome to the Department of Computer Science at the
University of British Columbia!  I am pleased to advise that subject to the
approval of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, you will be admitted to the
M.Sc. program beginning September 1, 2009.

The department provides financial support to incoming graduate students
without any scholarships or fellowships.  Our financial support for our
M.Sc. student without support is:

        Form of Support:        Teaching and/or Research Assistantships
        Amount of Support:      $18,500.00 per year
        Guaranteed Period:      20 months
        Duties: combination of teaching and/or research activities
        # of hours:     based on an average of 12 hours-per-week
        Conditions of Support:  To receive our financial support, you must
be a registered full-time UBC graduate student.  Our support is contingent
on satisfactory performance in the assigned teaching and research
assistantship duties.  For detail information about the guidelines on
satisfactory performance, please refer to the TA policies in the Graduate
Handbook.  You must also be in good standing and making satisfactory
progress in your academic performances. If  you receive additional funding
from fellowships or other sources, you are required to inform the
department.  Your financial support will be modified accordingly.

You are eligible for an International Partial Tuition Scholarship of up to
$3,182.06 per year.  This scholarship is a merit-based award available to
international students holding a valid Student Authorization (i.e., Student
Visa) who are charged the full International tuition fees.  You must be
making satisfactory progress in your program and be supported by the
department in order for it to continue. Students who receive external
funding (i.e., their home government, Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship, or
other funding agencies like CIDA, WUSC, DAAD, etc.) for their tuition will
have their International Partial Tuition Scholarship reduced accordingly.
This scholarship is subject to funding and changes.  Please refer to the
Faculty of Graduate Studies web site,

information.

We sincerely hope that you will accept our offer.  We would appreciate
having your response as soon as possible, and in any case by April 15 via
email or phone.  We have a number of applicants on our waiting list and we
cannot inform them of our decision until we know which of our accepted
students are planning to attend UBC.   If you have a scholarship/fellowship
or other sources of income in support of your graduate studies, please let
us know.

是的，国际学生大约7200一年，然后会给你个3200的国际学费奖学金，就是4000左右一年。
