"Doctors have long suspected that secondary infections may keep some patients from healing quickly after severe muscle strain. This hypothesis has now been proved by preliminary results of a study of two groups of patients. The first group of patients, all being treated for muscle injuries by Dr. Newland, a doctor who specializes in sports medicine, took antibiotics regularly throughout their treatment. Their recuperation time was, on average, 40 percent quicker than typically expected. Patients in the second group, all being treated by Dr. Alton, a general physician, were given sugar pills, although the patients believed they were taking antibiotics. Their average recuperation time was not significantly reduced. Therefore, all patients who are diagnosed with muscle strain would be well advised to take antibiotics as part of their treatment."
Or the injection of the antibiotics would cause drug reliance and weaken the innate immune system which might be a great loss(damage) to one's body shield

Grounding on the hypothesis that secondary infections may keep some patients from healing quickly after severe muscle strain and basing on preliminary results of a study of two groups of patients, the author concludes that all patients who are diagnosed with muscle strain would be well advised to take antibiotics. However, there are still some intermediate steps that one should take into consideration before jumping into the conclusion.
To begin with, the result and proceeding of a study of two groups of patients is dubious. There are many other alternatives may have a effect on the results. First, the two groups of patients treating for muscle injuries are operated by two different doctors. Perhaps Dr.Newland is good at operating muscle injuries or perhaps he can offer better cases after operation rather than Dr.Alton, so his patients recover quickly.
Second, without ruling out the possibilities that antibiotics and sugar pills would have a possitive or negative effect on study's results, the author cannot make a conclusion saying the study's result is reliable to the hypothesis.
Futhermore, even if the study can testify that antibiotics really play a crucial role in treatment, the author still fails to utilize the study to prove the hypothesis. Because the study does not offer us any information saying the two groups of patients get secondary infections after their muscle strain, the author's assumption is groundless. Besides, the study does not tell us a standard evaluating the level of muscle injuries' severity. So it is possible that the first group's patients recover fast because of their flesh wound. Meanwhile, due to the doctors' hypothesis are based on patients gaining severe muscle strain. If the patients in the study donot get severe muscle strain, the author cannot prove his assumption.
Last but not the least, even if the hypothesis is proved by the study, the author still cannot draw a conclusion claiming that all patients who are diagnosed with muscle strain would be well advised to take antibiotics. Perhaps some patients cannot take any antibiotics because they may be sensitive to these medicines, or perhaps some kinds of antibiotics may have a negative effect on the patients who are diagnosed with muscle strain. No evidence has been shown to prove the antibiotics can be applied into all patients' operation.
To sum up, judging from the aforementioned analysis, the author fails to draw his conclusion. To bolster his argument, the author needs to provide more information about the study's differences and tell us why it needs two docors operating. Besides, he should also give us more evidence to prove his assumption based on the study and rule out other alternatives if antibiotics are applied into all patients diagnosed with muscle strain.
