Students registered to read for a degree, diploma or any other qualifications at this University must not be registered simultaneously to read for another qualification at this University, or for a post-secondary qualification at another institution, except with the special approval of the Senate given in advance. A breach of this regulation may result in the student concerned being required to discontinue studies at this University.

A participant shall not be registered simultaneously in another course of study or research leading to the award of a degree, diploma or certificate either at this University or at any other tertiary institution unless an application has been submitted in advance to the Graduate Division concerned, endorsed by the Faculty concerned and approved by the Graduate Council. A participant in breach of this regulation shall be required to discontinue studies at the University.
Students are not permitted to concurrently register for another program at HKUST or at another tertiary institution unless prior permission from the Director of Admissions, Registration and Records has been obtained.
Students are not allowed to register simultaneously in another programme of study in the University or in any other institution without the prior permission of the School. This also applies to students who are interrupting their studies or on study leave.
Only in exceptional circumstances may students enroll for more than one programme. To enrol for an additional programme, students must apply in writing to the School of Graduate Studies for approval by the University.
You are not allowed to enrol concurrently in two full-time/sandwich programmes, whether or not one of the programmes is offered by another institution. Except for programmes that do not lead to any formal award, you are required to obtain approval from the PolyU Head(s) of Department concerned before enrolling in a full-time/sandwich programme and a part-time programme, or in more than one part-time programme, including those offered by other institutions. Application should be made via Form AS38, which can be obtained from the Academic Secretariat Service Centre or downloaded from the Academic Secretariat Homepage at www.polyu.edu.hk/as.
Students who wish to apply for concurrent registration in another programme of studies leading to an award from PolyU or elsewhere while registered as a candidate for a research degree at PolyU must obtain prior written permission from the University. Failure to obtain approval may lead to disciplinary action including discontinuation of study at PolyU.
