One Ph.D. Research Assistant position is available from Fall 2013 or Spring 2014 in the area of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) with a focus on connected vehicle and infrastructure systems in the Glenn Department of Civil Engineering at Clemson University, South Carolina, USA. This student will have an opportunity to work on an exciting federally funded project.
Skills Required:
• Programming Skills (Matlab and other programming language)
• Strong background in Mathematics
• Knowledge in computer simulation
• BS/MS degree in any engineering discipline

Project Description:
Work will include computer simulation and field tests on different Intelligent Transportation System applications in vehicle to vehicle (V2V) and vehicle to infrastructure (V2I) networking for various transportation applications, such as traffic management, safety and energy consumption reduction.
