As the society develops, there are more and more problems rising today. The controversy that governments should pay more attention to health-care issues or environmental issues is becoming more and more heated. Some people believe that it is more necessary to pay attention to health-care, while others disagree, citing that environmental issues are more important. From my perspective, the former one is more favorable.

The first reason I want to put forward is that the health problem is one of the basic problems of human, which leads to the right for keeping healthy and curing diseases becoming one of the basic civil rights. Comparing with this basic civil right, the right for protecting environment is far less important. As a matter of fact, our ancestors realized the importance of health-care right much earlier than that of protecting environment. What's more, it is easy to imagine a world that people live with heavy pollution, which can still be seen in the developing countries nowadays. Hence, it is hard to foresee a beautiful and perfect-environmental world without human beings, which may only be seen in the prehistoric times.

Another essential reason I am trying to convey is that it is obvious to see that the health-care issues are much more serious and need solving than environmental ones in present China. The mass media has described the problem of health care is one of the three greatest problems for Chineses in modern China, which indicates it is one of the greatest challenges to Chinese government. The prices that the hospitals charge to cure diseases in China are so high that lots families, especially the farmers, are not able to afford it. Due to this phenomenon, many of the poor have to choose not to go to hospital when getting sick, just waiting the diseases to become more serious at home. In order to prevent this type of tragedy occur again, the government should pay more attention to health-care issues.

However, the environmental issues cannot be left out. We have tasted countless bitter fruits of negelecting environmental issues from history. Learning these lessons, we are aware of the significant influence of protecting environment on human society. But I believe in terms of protecting environment, all members in the society should take actions besides government. Furthermore, the power of community is stronger than that of government in environmental issues.

With all the reasons explained above, it is apparent to draw the conclusion that government should pay more attention to health-care issues than environmental issues. We should also realize that all the members in the society have the responsibility for both the issues, and we should also pay attention to.

With the increasing number of movies and TVprograms made in other countries boardcast in China, the debate in this field isheated. Some people believe that movies and TV programs in their own country isalways more interesting than those made in other countries, while othersdisagree on it, citing that movies and TV programs made in other countries canalso be interesting, and audience sometimes enjoy more from them. From my ownperspective, the latter one is more favorable.

The first reason I want to put forward isthat whether a movie or TV program is interesting or not depends on itsquality, not the country which makes it. Although the domestic movie or TVprogram has its minor advantages in attracting domestic audience, an excellentforeign one is also easy to become popular. For example, one American drama TVseries, Friends, has been popular in China for years. Chinese audience, especiallythe young, is fond of its humorous and warm way of showing friendships.Confused by some words from Friends based on the different cultural background,fans even made the list of explaining the confusing words for the whole tenseasons. Therefore, as we can see, in spite of different cultures, the foreignmovies and TV programs can also be interesting, and even more popular withdomestic audience.

Another reason I want to convey is that itis a direct way to experience different cultures from watching foreign moviesand TV programs, which makes them more interesting. The foreign movies and TVprograms describe the daily lives, recording the complicated emotions and variouskinds of thoughts of people from different countries. Through these movies andTV programs, the domestic audience broadens their horizons, exploring adifferent world and watching the different tradition. On the other hand, theymay also realize that no matter in which country, some problems of living arein common. Take myself as an example. I am so interested in another Americandrama series, Law and Oder, that I think it isthe best TV legal programs I've ever watched, both of my country and othercountries. Thanks to its excellent producers, I have learned lots of legalknowledge from this drama. What's more, I have a deeper understanding of thespirit of American legal system which is totally different from the one of mycountry. Thus, I believe that movies and TV programs made in other countriescan also be very interesting.

However, I have to admit that sometimesmovies and TV programs in Chinaare more interesting than those made in other countries. As the producers andaudience are brought up in the same cultural tradition and background, it iseasy for audience to understand the plots, having empathy with the characters.This phenomenon is apparent in the movies starring by Stephen Chow, the famous Hong Kong actor. His movies are one of the mostinteresting and popular movies in China. Nevertheless, limited oflanguages, it is hard for foreigners to grasp his humor, which leads to thefailure of his movies in America.In this sense, movies and TV programs is more interesting than those made inother countries.

Although domestic movies and TV programsown their advantages, those made in other countries can also be veryinteresting, even attracting more audience. With all the reasons explainedabove, this conclusion is easy to draw.

Comparing with reading newspapers and magazines, it is an more effective way to observe a foreign country by traveling. All the information we acquire from media is written and photographed by the journalists. We watch the strange and distant country through their eyes, and our imaginations单数会好一些 are inspired by their attractive descriptions. How can we suppose we can really understand a country by this way? It is possible that what we think we have known about a country is far less than a miner part of it. Also, it is common for journalists to select the most exciting part of a country to introduce, moreover, they cover the facts intentionally and twisting reality.More example or a better transition about this statement would be better! it is obtrusive

I've realized this by a recent travel to Hong Kong. Before the trip, I have collected lots of materials from newspapers and magazines. I was so impressive with the grand and modern buildings, the resplendent fashion items, and the various kinds of entertainments introduced by the mass media, that I dreamed that I would go to a wonderland of fast living and luxury. Whereas, despite the modern and elegant sight of Hong Kong, the great disparity between rich and poor seldom reported by the media, gave me the unforgettable image. It's hard to wipe out the scene of an old lady sitting in a cage, which can only contain one person, saying that it was her house. The payment of the prosperity in Hong Kong is the sacrifice of this silent crowd.It is too absolute.... However, this tragedy rarely appears on newspapers and magazines comparatively.This example is excellent!

Therefore, as far as I'm concerned, if you want to know a foreign country, the best way is to travel around the country, talking to the local people and exploring this country by yourself. As the rapid-pace world has always beenimposing increasing living pressure on people, there is a tendency to sacrificevacation time in order to get a higher salary job. However, as far as I amconcerned, a job with more vacation time but low salary is better than a jobwith a high salary but less vacation time.

Whichever job we choose, the final goal isto live a happy life. Although accomplishments on work can bring ussatisfaction and self-affirmation, there are only small parts of life. We stillneed time to stay with our families, communicate with friends, keeping healthyand enjoying the nature. We have a lot to achieve in our life besides working;moreover, some of them are much more important than sitting in an office,typing the endless workload.

We have already heard lots of examples ofthe hard-working white collars: they devoted all their passion to working whenthey were young, neglecting their health and family, in order to earn a highsalary to satisfy the various material desires. Every time exhausted afterworking, they comforted themselves that they would obtain happiness in thefuture. Whereas, when they became too old to fit any job, what they can do wasjust sitting at home, regretting not to pursue the true happiness. What's more, our eagerness for money willnever stop. Greed pushes us forward, at the same time destroying us.
