I fundamentally disagree the assertion that the all nations should come together to establish a global university in order to devote students in the process of solving the world's most persistent problems.

Admittedly, establishing a global university indeed benefit to human being in the world to some extent. With the soaring of science and technology, a global university conforms to the tendency of globalization. The global university, served as an effective tool for solving the world’s most persistent social problems, is welcomed by most countries of the world. It is very convenient to combine as much as energy of various subjects of different countries to research on some pending world problems, especially scientific problems. It can be predict that establishing a global university is a trend in future.

Howbeit, under nowadays actual situation, it is a thorny way to establish a global university over the world. That is to say, we would encounter plenty of complex problems. As to student, different students are from different countries, so their education background, culture and knowledge system are distinguish from others. What's more, many other ingredients, such as races, religion beliefs, languages, are also different that could hamper the development of a global university. It is impossible to establish a harmonious atmosphere between a Pakistani and an Israelite student. As to country, due to the actual situation of a country, the abilities between developed country and undeveloped country are not at the same level, which may embarrass the cooperation of different countries. Besides, such a global university asks not only tremendous financial support but also intellective investment. Consequently, all of the factors mentioned above could not neglect and we should think over before establish a global university.

Furthermore, even if the project of a global university has come true, it does not means that the global intractable problem could be solved favorably. In other words, only depend on education could not we settle complex and stubborn problems. There are plenty of troublesome phenomena in the world, such as terrorism, environmental pollution, racial confliction and so forth, and all of these problem need nearly all sorts of realms come together to settle. Nevertheless, the ultimate object of education is to teach academic knowledge and establish correct world view to the students, which does not applied on society directly. The essential method to solve the intractable social problem is to enhance the consciousness of different countries. Only in this way can the global problem be settled faster.

To sum up, the thought of establishing a global university is very considerable, nevertheless, it is impossible to carry on this project under actual situation.
