Patience is not a good strategy, we should take action now rather than later.
We call the world a complex place because there are varieties of problems calling for completely different solutions. And this is quite true when it comes to the problem presented here – we do not take patience as first choice on all the tasks, nor do we take action immediately on every case we come up with(come up with是想出,赶上的意思,用在这里会不会不太合适). Instead(这个instead跟前面似乎不是很协调), we need to look carefully enough into the case we are confronting so that a better strategy can be determined.
In some case, taking action immediately bears more advantages over being patient. When looking for a job, it is always a good thing for a candidate to seize every possible chance to have himself known before positions are taken by other people. In other word, the more immediately he is exposed to others, the more chances he has to stand out. After all, there are no harms to let more people know you. In this case, immediate initiatives do not hurt but rather, bring more possibilities than being patient while hoping for a free lunch(不确定这个用的对不对,请指教). In a word, when resources are unevenly distributed or scarce, like the situation mentioned above, it is always a wiser choice to take immediate action rather than act patiently and let chances slip through.
However, there do exist times, and I would say most of the time, when being patient appears to be a savvier(建议改成sawier,好像更常用一些) strategy. Patience gives us sufficient time to come up with more mature and considerate solutions. It can be illustrated with the example drawn from business realm in particular. When the world was longing for the Iphone5 last October, Apple disappointed everyone with the launch of Iphone4s. Why was Apple doing so when the market competition was so fierce and apparently, everyone was expecting its latest product? The answer remained unclear until Iphone5 was released weeks ago - it takes time and patience to develop perfect devices; more crucially, being patient and holding on consumers’ interests seems to yield more positive feedbacks than it could have done(感觉这小半句逻辑不大对的样子). Not taking the action of releasing Iphone5 one year ago helps to retain the consumers and in this sense, the patience is absolutely worthwhile.
As a matter of fact, there are more cases supporting the idea that patience generates more benefits than take action immediately does. To produce responsible news stories, media have to be patient before the truth comes out, rather than to report based on wild guess or unsubstantiated evidence. To carry out an excellent group project, we must pay enough patience upon setting flows(没找到确切的翻译,望指教), doing researches, making bland(该词不太适合) observations and arranging roles according to abilities, instead of assigning workloads once we get the task.
In conclusion, taking immediate actions only outperforms being patient when targeted resources are scarce and limited. In most cases, it is safer and wiser to take patience before everything obtrusive is wiped out so that more considerate decisions can be made.
总结:文章的整体架构非常好,有关iPhone的例子让人耳目一新,看起来文章是选取了两边倒的观点,阐述的时候很连贯,相比之下开头就要比正文逊色了一些……有很多表达值得我学习~
