Position Description: Doctoral StudentDescription of Research/Requirements:
My research interest is currently focused on revealing roles of immune cells such as monocytes, B and T cells in the etiology of osteoporosis using functional genomics approaches (expression arrays) as well as cellular and molecular biology techniques. I am looking for a creative and energetic Ph.D. student to mainly perform functional genomics projects. He/she will also be partially involved in the cellular and molecular experiments. Techniques and skills required include:
1.
Basic statistical and bioinformatic background; experience in gene expression array experiments and analyses; it is better if the applicant is familiar with SAS and SPSS statistical software and R language.
2.
Basic cellular and molecular techniques, such as qRT-PCR, western blotting, and basic human and animal cell culture.
3.
Skillful English writing (average oral English ability without affecting communication for international applicant).
