题目:
It is better to learn broad subjects than to specialize in a specific subject.

Nowadays, universities have an inclination to open up a variety of majors. When asked about whether it is better for students to learn more subjects than to specialize in one, some people argue that knowing more knowledge undoubtedly offers people more opportunities to succeed in modern times. While others hold an opposite view that people who specialize in one subject are easier to make achievements in their majors. From my perspective, people who grasp plenty of knowledge from all kinds of fields are of greater importance.

The work in the world is increasingly plentiful, which, to a large extent, makes the employees who have a broad knowledge system can work successfully in their positions with fewer obstacles. Firstly, people only specialize in one aspect may even not be admitted when they are applying for jobs. Considering that these applicants may have difficulty in dealing with some common problems which may be encountered during work because they have even little cognition in such field, they won’t risk their financial interests to enroll them. Besides, the people who have generally mastered a great deal of relevant knowledge and information have more opportunities to get promotion. When various tasks are assigned to you, which may not need your great efforts but
meticulosity if you want to finish it smoothly to satisfy your boss, the all-round  you will have advantages over those who can only specialize in what they should do.

Furthermore, the diversity of people’s knowledge reservation can play a significant role in making their life colorful and comfortable. For instance, one of my best friends Daniel, who can speak 4 foreign languages and have interests in classical music and sports, lives a very excellent life in my opinion. He can play cello for some hours in the morning and play basketball with us in the afternoon. Another fitting example is that more and more youngsters have such a propensity that they hope their mates to have more talent and skills to enjoy the life, which is revealed in a recent survey investigated by CYA (Chinese Youngsters Association).

Admittedly, the merits of specializing in one subject can not be neglected especially for the reason that it makes those people to study further in their fields. However, when compared with learning broad subjects, it pales. Therefore, I reinforce my viewpoint that people should study more subjects.
