Currently, computer games have a pervasive impact on every aspect of children’s life. However, computer games have given rise to considerable controversy among many people like parents, teachers and also educators. The question has been raised:’’ Is it true that playing computer games is a waste of time for children?’’ My answer is basically no. In most cases it will benefit children, though it might cause harm under certain circumstances.

Firstly, computer games will broad the horizon of children. With increasingly curiosity the children have, huge of information like the history, the science technology, the abundant emotional episodes, will be taken advantage by children for the purpose of developing children’s imagination.（这里说因为孩子有好奇心，为了发展孩子们的想象力，大量信息被应用。这里好像没有交代这些信息和电脑游戏之间的关系）Although some of that may be fictional, it really stimulates children to refer to huge amount of information about them in numerous books, dictionary, and also internet encyclopedia. Afterwards, children are of great capacity for acquiring knowledge. What’s more, with these concrete knowledge in their mind, they can easily make good use of them to analyze the situation of a company or a plan and the word from(因为是人，是不是用of比较好呢。。） them would also be convincing when taking with others to make them reliable（这里觉得怪怪的。。不明白用意）0 S# O8 P  A3 r  A* L* `

Second, the computer games provide children with a temporary escape, giving them opportunity to relieve stress after finishing homework or preparing for test. This is of vital importance for children’s healthy growth. I can back up my point with a true story: Before the final-term examination, there were innumerable difficult problems must to be solved. And that nearly drove my crazy. I couldn’t even make simple inference to some of the very easy math problem. When I thought of my teacher’s words:” You should keep a good mood to face the exam”, I tried to play some computer games to relax for a while. After playing a game with strong beats, I really felt better and had lots of energy to work on these problems. Thanks to the computer games, I got a really a good attitude towards exam.

For instance, it may cause children to be a addict of games,(查了下，发现可以直接:名词+addict,) because children are lack of self initiative. However, as long as proper measures can be taken, e.g. make a study plan and ask parents to supervise them to study, the problem can be solved and its’ safe to say that benefits of computer games far outweigh it’s negative influences.' In conclusion, I believe playing computer games is not a waste of time to children, for it can enhance the ability of study to make their eye more clear and give them a slight relax during the burdensome assignments. As a result, it’s advisable for children to play computer games if their self-discipline has developed.* V/ I7 S. h  ^! A
