I do not agree with the opinion that business are only motivated by desire of money, as although it is admitted that earning benefits through work is the common goal of most businessmen, many of them still take much social responsibility.
For most bussinessmen, the orginal objective of work is to make money. It is always the favouriate principle for them to reduce the cost and expand the consequential benefits. Many behaviors of business, such as various kinds of marking stategies, can be explained by this guideline.
However, we cannot ignore that many of them still contribute much to the society. The word " social responsibility" summarize works made by some bussinessmen, which includes their contribution to education and social welfare.
As for their contribution to education, it is not difficult to find that many corporations and companies have bulit this own funds, which can help the childern living in poor families received education in primary and middle school, and the youth enter colleges and universities to learn more knowlege interests them. For example, Pfrizer, which is the NO.1 pharmaceutical corporation in US, have some funding programs in universities in order to develop more young people. Without the help of such kinds of corporations, some children or youth people may lose the opportunity to receive education.
On the other hand, many businessmen still contribute much to the social welfare, which can help the people in need to live better lives. And after some diseaster, such as earthquake and famine, many businessmen would give money to the aid agencies, someone even nameless. We cannot imagine what kinds of money these businessmen can get through such behaviors.
In brief, there is no doubt that making money is the common goal of many businessmen, whereas we cannot do a conclusion that desire of money is the only motivation of all businessmen.
