我看到osu的application information page上有“M.S. applicants should have taken undergraduate microeconomics up to the intermediate level”,但是我只修了三学分的microeconomics,而且我们学校没法自由选中级经济学的课,但是我有旁听这门课。我问小秘Miller,如果旁听的中级微观经济学的老师出推荐信证明我在这门课的学习,是否我的申请还是qualified。小秘回的挺快的,但是貌似是模板式的回复,如下。
Dear prospective applicant,

I greatly appreciate your interest in the graduate program in Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics at The Ohio State University.
Application for admission can be made online at the web links below. To complete an application you must complete and submit the application form, transcripts of all academic credits, GRE or GMAT scores, three letters of reference, and an autobiographical statement. This latter item should include a statement of career goals and why you desire to pursue a graduate degree in this Department. Since this represents the only writing example in your application package, it is important for you to make special effort to polish and carefully edit your statement. Also, if you are an international applicant you must submit TOEFL scores.
Through graduate associateships and fellowships, financial support is available to a limited number of students. Awards of graduate associateships are made on the basis of: 1) applicant's scholarly potential, as indicated by transcripts, exam scores and letters of reference, and 2) area of interest of the student as it relates to needs of the Department. If you wish to apply for financial aid, check the appropriate box(s) on the application form. Please note that if you are international and applying to be considered for the University Fellowship competition, we must receive all of your application documents by November 30, 2010. If you are a U.S. applicant you must submit your information by January 15, 2011.
Our department homepage provides more information about our graduate program. Please visit our website at http://aede.osu.edu/. If you are unable to visit our website and/or desire further information, please contact me (miranda.4@osu.edu) Sincerely,
