如果可以在家乡做出一项改变,希望是什么?
my hometown locates at the foot of beautiful mountains, with blue sky and clean air. Although as a small city, it still owns a large population. While city life always closely associate with traffic means, public transportation should be convenient enough to ensure the city functioning well, and I hope some improvements could be made. To be more specific, the bus services need more concerns, because the mountain topography and economical situations, lead bus to be an ideal choice for public transportation in my city, which is flexible and comparably low-cost.
The most serious problem we are facing now is that there are not enough public buses. People always have to wait a bus for more than 20 minutes, which is too long. Because they can even walk to their destinations within the time spent on tedious waiting. In other cases, it indeed create difficulty for people carrying heavy stuff and hurry to a place if have no car.
Moreover, the bus routes have only covered certain parts of the city. Many far-away places may
not be reached. To get to those distant corners, people might either drive their own cars, or take taxi as an alternative, but costs can be very high.
There's another problem. Buses in use now are old and dirty. People would not like to take busses if they have other options, like walking, driving, or taking taxis. It is easy to be understood----nobody likes to bear unpleasant environment. On the other hand, bad looking of city bus may leave a bad impression on visitors, a group of people who have contributed much to tourist income. To make our city and our city buses more attractive, the government should invest more money on the bus service to improve its appearance, or hire more workers to do the cleaning job more frequently. It shall be worthy.
In conclusion, improving bus services can be very beneficial. It actually encourages people to use public transportation rather than buy their own cars, and consequently, help to relieve traffic congestion and reduce air pollution.
