新加坡的地方挺繁华的，基本每个地铁站就是一个shopping mall，新式英语比较难懂，但是习惯了就还好。这边的学校排名可能有些虚高，不过NUS的化工系里面还是有很多大牛的。我在这边的感觉还是很好的，而且老板也不催我，老板的意见是你都是独立的研究人员了，要自己解决困难，他是把握大方向的人。另外，如果有想来NUS的学弟学妹，欢迎来咨询，我的邮箱 E0000531@u.nus.edu. 我们组主要做的是多孔材料， MOF和COF，以及先进nanosheet membrane用于气体分离。

Dr Zhao’s group at Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS) is directly recruiting PhD student for August 2017 intake (http://cheed.nus.edu.sg/stf/chezhao/home.html).
The research topics of Dr Zhao’s group include the design and synthesis of advanced porous materials (e.g., metal-organic frameworks MOFs, covalent organic frameworks COFs, graphene oxide GO), advanced composite membranes (e.g., MOF membranes, COF membranes, mixed matrix membranes), and their applications in clean energy and environmental sustainability such as natural gas storage, CO2 capture and utilization, water treatment, fluorescence-based chemical sensing, electro/photo/heterogeneous catalysis, etc.
The preferred candidate should have strong background in synthetic chemistry, porous materials, separation engineering, or membrane technology. Proficiency in English is a must. TOFEL and GRE may be waived if the candidate can perform well in the essay test. The PhD program in NUS is 4-year with fully financial support.
