From this day onwards, I suggest that we carry a discussion in focus of different socila phenomenons every day.

Recently, a portion of high schools in mainland China adopt new rules to regulate the behavior of student by dint of pick-up head. The monitors are all-pervasive except bathhouse, dorm and washroom. Although the policy redounds to discipline the students effectively for all the school authority says, it leads to a deprecation of most students.

What's your opinion?

omg~~~that's my weakpoint~~
also it may cause troubles if the words used are not well chosen~~~
think of the tragedy of Yi Ta Hu Tu~~~

well, actually i hate monitors.
it reminds me of the gun aiming at me and waiting for a second to kill me~~~
strange feelings, eh?
and i hate the feeling when under supervised and being watched by unfamiliar guys~~~

Time to unfold my viewpoint:
As fire is hurtful and healthful, most things have two handles. In the eyes of school authority, using electronic surveillances to keep students under custody is really a good way to keep the peace, deter any habitual offenders, and help to acquire evidences of scenes of crime in school. However, implement of the policies can not infringe upon the dignity of students like right of privacy and right to portrait. It means that the pick-up heads are not allowed to be attached to the private space of students. Actually, mounting the monitor in public is not against the law of our country but proper use of authority. To add it, the video recording can not be promulgated without the parties’ permission and the surveillant should choose to record some events regarding to hidden defect of security. After all, the monitor usage is one of the steps in pursuit of humanized school management rather than mechanical school management.
