------摘要------
我的第一篇Issue，没限时，因为尚未完全找到感觉，
写的可能有些别扭，思路上和表达上不知道是不是有导向性问题，
而且觉得以我目前的能力想限时写出这种文章好像比较困难
请各位多多指教

Important truths begin as outrageous, or at least uncomfortable, attacks upon the accepted wisdom of the time

------文章------
Is truth born with the rage feature of attacking prevailing wisdom? Not necessarily. In fact, it is like an infant of any kind, naive and pure. If it is condemned to be offensive, it must be struggling in the rigorous surrounding circumstances to live.

Talking about offensiveness, it is better to clarify first that what is attack. By saying that one is attacking another, we try to express that the attacker is positively deliberately doing things to harm the other; by saying that one theory is attacking another, we try to express that the attacker is engaging in disconfirming the other; similarly, by saying that the truth is attacking upon the accepted wisdom, the author must be trying to express that the truth is engaging in disgracing the prevailing the accepted wisdom. In fact, this is not the case.

As is revealed by many historical records, truth is usually discovered by accident. Watt invented steam engine because he happened to notice the power of vapor; Newton got his great idea because he was hit by an apple; penicillin was discovered because of a mistaken experiment and architecture of Benzenes is even figured out in dream. Thus, not everyone has the chance to face the truth and truth is usually discovered and absorbed by only a few people at its early age, while the vast majority of common people are still adapt to traditional wisdom.

Fearing that their belief will be destroyed, conservatism supporters of prevailing wisdom will start to attack and even calumniate and persecute the innovators. Relevant evidence includes the debating of whether people are derived from monkeys or not, in Oxford, and the persecution of Galileo. As is once said, the old will never pass away that easy. Prevailing wisdom will not give their positions to the newly born truth willingly. It will struggle and fight to death to remain. It took tens or years before people finally discard the superstitious belief that the material constitution of human being is created by God and accepted the truth that human are evolutive product from anthropoids. It even takes longer for people to believe that earth is not lying in the central of universe and is moving around the sun.

During the period of confrontation between the truth and the tradition, it is usually the tradition that casts the first stone. And in response, the supporter of truth will have to defend themselves and confirm their theory, which is an often reprehended outrageous, or at least uncomfortable, attack upon accepted wisdom of the time. However, as is obvious, newly discovered truth lends no means of offense. It is just reflecting to the external stimulations and strengthening itself. Confirmation is not disaffirmation, thus the establishment of new theory is not necessarily offense upon the old one. It is entirely the old one that is not willing to face its termination of predominant privilege that accused the new one of such crime, while the later is indeed innocent.

In sum, the feature of offence have been most likely aroused by some external factors, if exists, since it is not the nature of truth to offence other viewpoints. Truth is not attacking the accepted wisdom, but is usually attacked by it.
