During the evolution history of human civilization, intellect always takes great effects on the development of society. As the result, the emphasis human place on intellect is more than any other ages. While the author claims that it is still insufficient, I want to point out that the conclusion is arbitrary. Not lack but too much.（有点不太明白？）I will interpret my perspective via the following aspects.

Admittedly, in the times of knowledge explosion, intellect are (is)performing more and more important. From we reaching the age of elementary school to we graduating from university, cultivating intellect is always the critical aim of we receiving educations. Even more, after graduation, people have to study more to adapt the society full of competition. Besides, everyone is told "Knowledge is power". In today's society, no power can receive the similar treatment as knowledge. Maybe in some regions, the emphasis on intellect is still far from enough, but when comes to the whole world, it is already sufficient.(对知识的重要性展开得不够，应该再详细一点，将会更有说服力。)

One the other hand, People often measure one's intellect by intelligence quotient(IQ), while there is another standard for describing emotion level, emotion quotient(EQ). While taking such an attitude to intellect, I seldom hear that a person taking( takes) a certain course to promote EQ. In fact, more and more evidence convince us that a person with high IQ but low EQ merely takes great achievement. In the age of championing the teamwork ability, the EQ are often considered firstly. For example, in the fields of researching which seems to one can take great achievement only by high IQ and efforts before, it is impossible to see a person make great accomplishment all by oneself. There must be a team to make every advancement of science. What is more, when we take more and more attention to fostering intellect, we neglect the cultivation of f EQ at the same time, which results in the promotion of suicide percentage.

So, both intellect and non-intellect skills should be paid with the same emphasis. It is easily known by (to) all of us that people cannot achieve success without intellectual study, because they are not able draw on their education and insight and solve the problems themselves. Similarly, the study of non intellectual study is also a necessary factor which brings success. People's lives are full of ups and downs and every individual will experience numerous difficult times. Only those who possess good nonintellectual ability can endure these tough times and moments and become successful at last.

In conclusion, it is very necessary for the society to adjust the balance emphasis on IQ and EQ . because intellectual equips people clever minds, while EQ provide people happy moods, both of which guarantee individuals’ success.
