TW+17000 from Tulane vs. TW+16500 from Old Dominion University( Norfolk, Virginia)
The ranking of Tulane is about 60-80, and the ranking of ODU is about 100. But the location of Virgina is obviously much better than New Orleans. which one should I pick? I beg for your advice. Thank you!

if I want to stay in US, I may concentrate on location.
比如说新疆的好大学和香港的一般大学，你会选什么

Tulane is much more better than ODU. I would suggest you choose Tulane

It depent on your career plan.
If you want to find a job, then choose the location with a more active economy and industry. Ohterwise, go to the higher ranking one.

看申请的是ms还是ph.d了

Thank you very much for all your response! I got offers of PhD. I would not cotinue to pursue a PhD degree if I were allowed to get a master degree after two or three years. I have little information about my future boss. I know Tulane is much better than ODU. Yet I have done some research about the city New Orleans. After Katrina the situation in New Orleans, including the social safety, living conditions, economic situation, etc is so terrible that even the local residents do not see any hope in the futue. And I am not the person, who is able to concentrate on research on campus. I prefer to find a job in a company after graduation. Which university do you think I should choose according to my current planning? I still look forward to your advice. Thank you!

I think Tulane is much better than ODU, simply because i 've never heard of that.

location有那么重要么？
virginia也没有那么好，而且tulane明显好多了
如果有志读phd，读完ms都还可以再多读个学校
sex and the city里面为ralph lauren工作的mr big的老婆就是tulane毕业，她也在ny工作
大不了不北上，去ca,texas或者florida

这个觉得还是根据自己的喜欢吧！
  TULANE的校园面积很小，300多ACRE，交通非常的不方便！
既然你选择的JOB，那么你就应该给自己做些经验的积累，对于MS来说，LOCATION是非常重要的！
  LS也有人很好的比喻，香港的一般的学校和新疆的好学校（相对而言）。
  我不知道为什么你既然知道了自己的想法，还怎么忧郁？
