TOPIC: ISSUE83 - "Government should preserve publicly owned wilderness areas in their natural state, even though these areas are often extremely remote and thus accessible to only a few people."

With the development of the society, some serious problem, such as global warming, air pollution, and poverty, are realized the human being. Simultaneity, more and more people begin to focus the wilderness areas. Then there comes a question: whether or not the government should protect the extremely remote areas, though accessible to only a few people. As far as I concerned, the government should protect these areas, not only for the nation but also for the human being. To better present the viewpoint let me illustrate in details.

To begin with, due to the importance position in the environment, military, biodiversity and own rich resource, the government should pay significant attentions to the remote wilderness areas. There are many rare animals and plants in the wilderness areas, which always own the unique gene and keep the biodiversity. Once they died in this place, these species may disappear from the earth and then our human will lost the precious resource. In addition, these areas always have a lot of wet land and forest, which are important for the environment. The wet land can decompose the waste discharged by the human being and prevent the land from removing. The forest can absorb the carbon dioxide, which is the main gas of the global warming, simultaneity, release the oxygen upon which all animals, including human survive. If they are destroyed, our human being survival in the earth will be threaded. Furthermore, the wilderness areas always located in the border, which is very important for the nation safe. All in all, these areas are not only important for the nation but also for the human being.

Though the wilderness areas are remote now, they have potential profit for the nation in the future. Due to the environment undestroyed by the human, these remote areas always have the beautiful and unique views. Therefore, they can be exploited for the tours place in the future. More important, these places can become the human being living place once the population explosion. In addition, drove by the enormous economic profit, some people will destroy these areas, like deforestation and hunting the rare animals, which will destroy the ecosystem and do the harm to the nation and world. For example, there are many antelopes in the Tibet, the largest remote area in China. However, due to the lack of protection, many antelopes have been hunted; maybe we can not see these animals unless the government protects them.

In fact, the government can take some effectiveness and efficiency methods to protect these places and will have a good future. First, the government can legislate for these areas. The Wilderness Act in the 1964 has saved many wildness animals from the extinction. Second, due to the knowledge owned by the scientists, the government can send a number of the scientists to investigate these environments and give the feedback, and then the nation can take the step to protect them. Third, the government should send the army to these places, on one hand, guarantees the law to be exerted, on the other hand, protects the areas from the foreign invasion. Of course, we should use the education to let the people know the importance of the wilderness areas and let every people protect them.

In summary, through all the discussion above, we can safely draw the conclusion. These wildness areas are not indispensable for the nation but also for the human being due to the unique position, but easy to be damaged, so the government should protect them. After all, the wilderness areas are the basis for a nation in the long-term view.
