第一次issue 希望大家猛拍
ISSUE51 - "Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student."
I agree with the speaker that education will be effective when it is designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student. If the education neglects the need and interest of individual, the student will have the same thoughts and behaviors which will do no good to the society. However, besides individual needs and interests of each student, there are still many things that the education should meet which are also important to the benefits of the society.

One reason of my fundamental agreement with the speaker is that everyone is different from each other and their individual needs should be respect by schools, since each student expect to learn the most useful knowledge for them from school. For example, after graduating from university, some people may hunt for a job while others prefer to do research and the school must take consider of their own needs in order to help them achieve their goals. If the university gives everyone the same knowledge, the graduates’ thoughts may become the same too. Let’s imagine the scenario: thousands of graduates who have the same ways of thinking even behaviors carry their diplomas with the dream of going further, however, they surprisingly find the truth that the society doesn’t need so much the same person. So education must designed to meet the individual needs otherwise education may mean no use to people.

Another reason why I basically agree with the author is that education has the responsibility to help people to develop their interest. Einstein, one of the most famous physicists in the world, holds an opinion that the best guide of study is interest. A student studies in a field which he or she is interested in is much better than he or she leans what he or she does not like. Studying in what you like is happy thing because the knowledge you absorbed is what you want that just like a hungry person got a tasteful meal. On the contrary, if you have to learn the things you have no interest in, you may find it is a nightmare for you. Because you just learn the knowledge absented and hope the professor will finish the class earlier.

However, only designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student, the education cannot be called effective. Besides the former two, there are also many things that affect the education’s effect such as moral education. The students come to school may only have the purpose to learn useful knowledge and skills, but the schools must give them moral education. Without the regulation of the moral, a person who is the best of the best will be a disaster to the society. In short we cannot simply think that Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student.

In sum, I agree with the speaker that Education will be truly effective when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student." Admittedly, the society needs the different graduates who know the individuality is the key to success and interest can lead them to go further. However, as to the effective of the education, we cannot ignore other important respects which also affect the effective of the education such as moral education. Without them, the education may effectiveless.

I agree with the speaker that education will be effective when it is designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student.
