Issue 144

Thanks to the information technology nowadays, critics are becoming almost as many as the artists for the reason that works from artists could be spread worldwide rapidly. A question has been raised up doubting if it is the artist or the critic gives the world something of lasting value. It is true that artists are creating actually value for people's spiritual mind and leading people's life styles. While, critics are acting an important role of evaluating quality of the art works and transferring the internal spirit of art works to the public.

Artists are creating great values to the society. The art works, anecdotes, and thinking related to them in the history are guiding following people's behaviors. Classic music could alleviate people's pressure and lead a trip within their minds. Novels could take one's mind traveling around the world, the universes, or even the future and the pass. Heroic Movies could brave one's mind and teach him to do the right thing.Taking those novels and bibliographies related to president Lincoln as examples, these works reflects the great man's doing and thinking, which propagates though generation to generation, strengthen public to fight for their own freedom and how to face difficulties when it comes.

In the other hand, there exist artists, as well as there exist critics who evaluate works of artists. Just as the news reporters reporting the good and bad news of the society, critics are acting as a filter that determine which art works are having true values and which ones are fakes and telling if the public should pay attention to. It is not new hear that some "artists" are trying to fool the public for funding by putting exaggerated words on their works. Most of these works can not escape from critics eyes. The only thing that could last long is the thing having real value in it.

Also, other than acting as a filter,critics are playing a role of interpreter for art works. Knowing that some artists do not really care if the public really understand their works, they are creating their work only base on what their minds are guiding them, which could turn out that the public do not like their works due to the misunderstandings. While, in this case, critics could help the public to understand the artist's thinking since they might be the ones who know particular artists. After all, a lasting value art work needs to be accepted by the public.

In conclusion, the speaker under estimates the importance of critics on creating values. In reality, artists and critics are interplaying with each other. As the artists create values, critics give proves on them.

It is true that artists are creating actually value for people's spiritual mind and leading people's life styles.(这里用现在进行时好吗说明一般性的事物还是用一般现在时好些吧) While, critics are acting an important role of evaluating quality of the art works and transferring the internal spirit of art works to the public.

总体论证层次不错。文章中有些表达不太准缺。呵呵本人水平有限希望能和作者一起进步。
