As byword "Histories like a mirror and make men wise", through study history men can find out the difference and sameness between the people in one period of time to the people who lived at any other time. This is meaning for human life.

For one thing, it is help to solve the social problem of the time while we study history and realized the same character of different period. Though we live in different but we have uniform human nature, such as desires, fear, motives and etc, which is unaltered with time. For the matter, comprehending the same character of people can benefit in dealing more effectively with our social problem. It is known to all, people all over the word desire peace, security and happiness. In recent years, terrorist activities have notably increased, and constitute a real threat to world peace and development. After the United Nations Security Council unanimous approval “The UN System Fights Terrorism Declaration” in November 2001, a lot of countries actively answer the call.
Then the United Nations Security Council unanimous pass the “Global Anti-Terrorism Strategic” in September 2006, the USA, China, Russia, UK, France, Pakistan, India, and other countries also held anti-terrorism consultations respectively and take an active part in the work of the Security Council Anti-Terrorism Commission. This makes greater contributions to the maintenance of world peace, against terrorism and promotion of common prosperity which is sufficiently significant to affect the whole world in the present time.

At the same time, the people of different time period have different life style, belief, living condition and so on. It is also benefit to understand the significant differences between people of different time period. From studying the history we know that at past time the level of productivity is low and the substance qualifications is more bad but most of people live a healthy life style means happy and comfortable without heavy press, when in the contemporary era we live a life style which is with quick life step and heavy press lead to we eat fast food; have no time to do exercise; feel strenuous all the time. Thus, wise doctor suggest that we may live like the past people in the present age as reining up our life, taking more exercise, exchanging of feelings with his family members. It is help for settle the widespread health problem in the present era.

Besides, there are other equally important benefits of studying history—the lessons learned of past can avoid mistakes. For example, looking back to the past to see the various effects of various human behaviors on the environment can show valuable lessons on what can happen if proper precautions are not taken. The nuclear accidents at Chernbyl which is one of ten major public hazard incidents have been studied to ensure that it dose not happen again. Therefore, the benefit of history far beyond break down the illusion that people in one period of time and significantly different from people who lived at any other time in history.

For we not only live in the present time but also live in the history to a certain extent, it is important to know history, we must hold it for serve to our present life.

As byword "Histories like a mirror and make men wise",(history likes a mirror and makes men wise，我觉得用单数比较好一些，一般名言或者是道理用单数显得比较客观吧) through study history men can find out the difference and sameness between the people in one period of time and the people who lived at any other time. For one thing, it helps solve the social problem while(while就有同时的意思，不需要加the time) we study history and realize the same character of different period. Alhough we live in different period, (用although的时候不用But) we have uniform human nature, such as desires, fear, motives and etc, which is unaltered with time. For the matter, comprehending the same character of people can benefit in dealing more effectively with our social problem. It is known to all, people all over the world desire peace, security and happiness.
