Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The best way to travel is being in a group led by a tourist guide.

Travel is always one of the best options to erntertain oneself. Once a person decides to go to travel, he or she needs to decide to go with a travel agency or go alone. As a bagpack travel mania I strongly recommend to go alone, because travel in a group led by a tourist guide is not always the best way.

Travel alone can improve one's time planning skills. I still remember my first single trip to abroad-Malaysia, a country with dynamic cultures. Before I get there I had no idea about how to arrange the 7 day trips in malaysia. Since book the air ticket,I started to set up the schedule and arrange a great single trip. Once I decided Kuala Lumpur, Genting Highland, Melaka were my destinations to visit,I check the public transportation in those three cities and booked. Because I was alone, it was convinient to make a decision to how long stay in one place. Everyday I woke up early and go to a place I've planned to go, took public transportation I've already booked tickets online, I felt I was fulfilled with great joyment with step by step movement without wasting a time.when I came back from single travel, I always plan everything with time table before I start do. Sometimes I just think what if i go with travel agency, to let them prepare everything I just follow? That will be much more relaxible without any achievement feeling.

The other reason I always insist to travel alone is, when a person travel alone he or she could learn much more knowledges from the experiences. I do have numerous options to get informations through different ways like books, internet, TV programs. Not like just listen a stories from tourist guide in a short time, I do researches from travel guide books like "Lonely Planet", local city government of tourism website, bulletin board system only for learning the history of the place i choose to travel. And sometimes i communicate with the local regidents for understanding of their histories. Such do it by myself research is much more memorable and to become my own knowledge, not comparable with listening from tourist guide.

On the other hand, travel in a group led by a tourist guide is not the best way but a good way for old peole, like my parents, who doesn't speak English and never been abroad by themselves. If they travel in a group, they don't have to worry where they should stay, how to go to the tourist attraction, what to eat with unreadable menu,the tour guide will tell them everything from the histories to the culture. All they need to do is choose a travel agency, book a package tour, bagpack their package, show up on time.
