With the development of society, technologiesbecome more and more influential in human life. Under the help of technologies,man learns many things which didn't know before, and can do many things whichcould never do before. It brings huge changes in every realm of life. And evensocial customs and ethics are influenced by them. However, some kinds of customsand ethics are not changeable forever. What's more? Some customs and ethics areinfluence even determine the development the trance and kinds of technologies.In that case, it is not accurate to say technologies determine social customs andethics.

Admittedly, the development of technology surly affects the socialcustoms and ethics in some way. The traditional family ruins as the first technology evolution
comes. Labors are freed fromthe farmland and leave families to go to factory. Father is no longer being theone who judges everything in family. And children do not need to live in a bigfamily. The idea of freedom deep in each hearts and the old ethic went to die.[TomZhang2]
The other example is the change of family’s power. In the old days, to keepsurvive, land is the only hope of a family. It has to rely on males who areable to work on the land to earn foods. In that case, females are seen as thesecond grade person in the society. In some places, females were not allowed togo out of home, for example in China.While, the technology developed and the life steal changed. Females have equalability to work as males out of door, and [TomZhang3]
is no longer the only job of females. In society, males no longer control females.It is the technologies changed the social unfair treatment to females.

Technologies do made such big changes in socialcustoms and ethics, when they are no longer fit for the development of society.But not every social customs and ethics could be changed [by technology]. Forinstance, respect the olds and love the children could not change for ever;when someone need help, others should do their best to help him; do not harmothers ,and so on. They belong to the basic social customs and ethics for ever.Not matter what is changed in the society, they cannot be changed.

Besides, the social customs and ethics have theirinfluence to human being. And technologies are made by human. It means that,customs and ethics make infects about the during[TomZhang4]the development of technology. Some kinds of technologies are not allowed. Forexample, the clone technology of human is against the human custom[TomZhang5],andit cannot be done[TomZhang6].While customs give guide to[TomZhang7]technology, such asthe update of coin.[TomZhang8]

To sum up, technologies do have influence in socialcustoms and ethics. But they can not determine them. Actually, the later sometimesinfluence the technology. Human should keep balance between the two。
