Many of the world's lesser-known languages are being lost as fewer and fewer people speak them. The governments of countries in which these languages are spoken should act to prevent such languages from becoming extinct.
------正文------
When it comes to the issue of protecting lesser-known languages, most people would argue that we should protect them no matter how much we would cost. Yet, it is not always the case. In protecting the cultural heritages of human being, we still have a long way to go.

First, a piece of bad news to the human being is that lesser-known languages are becoming fewer and fewer. A last statistic made by UNESCO (United Nation Educational, Scientific, Cultural, Organization) reveals that in the past, there exists 7000-8000 languages in the world, but this number keeps decreasing at the speed of 100 per year. While among these disappearing languages, less than 50 percent could only be spoken by less than 10000 people. And in the scale of these lesser-known languages, the languages whose users are less than 1000 does not reach half. The cruel fact tells us as part of the cultural heritage of the human, the species of languages becoming fewer and fewer. There are maybe various reasons to this phenomenon, but the most important one is that the government of

Secondly, government should do something to save these languages. Because it is common that we humans have a basic psychological need for individual identity, which we define by our unique traditions, ritual, mores, beliefs, history and especially languages. Any one of them is dispensable to a nation. Besides, as a important part of these characteristics of the nation, the extinction of the language would definitely leads to the extinction of others. A nation’s culture could not be better introduced to other countries without language. And, its history could not be told using other languages to its people. This alone is a strange thing. Thus, when a nation's language is neglected or even abandoned, the result is diminished sense of pride, dignity, and self-worth of the people. Moreover, one nation's culture to the human is just like a single factor to the whole ecological system. When one of the factors disappears, the whole ecological system would suffer from great damage or even die in the end.

Finally, though it is important to protect the lesser-languages which are the crucial part of the cultural heritage of the human being, it is difficult for the governments of the countries in which these languages are spoken to do than to say. Because, countries in which these lesser-known languages are generally the ones in which the development of economic is far behind other countries and it is difficult for these governments to take so much money on protecting their languages. Common sense tells us that the publicity of one culture is relevant to a country's strength. The reason that English is a world spoken language is that the main English spoken countries in this world are very strong. While on the other hand, it's more wise to develop the economic of these lesser-know languages countries rather than to protect their languages using a large amount of money. Furthermore, as the fortune of the whole human, the protecting of the lesser-known languages should not be the obligation to the countries in which these languages are spoken. It is the obligation to everybody, yet very few people recognize this point. So we still have a long way to go in protecting these languages.

To sum up, due to the above mentioned reasons, which sometimes intertwine to form an organic whole and thus become more persuasive than any one of them, we may safely arrive at the conclusion that it is the obligation of everybody to protect the lesser-known languages rather than the country in which these languages are spoken

我看不出你的观点观点是什么

First, a piece of bad news to the human being is thatthe number of lesser-known languages are becoming fewer and fewer. Whilecut among these disappearing languages, less than 50 percent could only be spoken by less than 10000 people. 把第二个less改成no more, 意思更顺一些,而且避免重复And in the scale of these lesser-known languages, the languages whose users are less than 1000 does not reach half. The cruel fact tells us as part of the cultural heritage of the human, the species of languages becoming fewer and fewer. There are maybe various reasons to this phenomenon, but the most important one is that the government of???

Secondly, government should do something to save these languages.直到这里我才知道你的观点 Because it is common that we humans have a basic psychological need for individual identity, which we define by our unique traditions, ritual, mores, beliefs, history and especially languages. Any one of them is dispensable to a nation. Besidesfurther more 表示意思更进一步, as a important part of these characteristics of the nation, the extinction of the language would definitely leads to the extinction of others. A nation’s culture could not be better introduced to other countries withoutits pecular language.
