只要值得，不择手段达到目的是合理的。

如果worthy，应该尽力去做，而且做法必须合理；

要考虑到别人及国家的利益，不能盲目

尽管worthy，有时候也要牺牲自己的利益去满足大集体的利益

Before taking any action to pursue a goal, we should ponder the result and effect first so as to justify the possibility of a matter. I am not consistent with the author that any means is justifiable to achieve a goal; to the contrary, I insist that a worthy goal should be accomplished by hard work and all-sided consideration; a goal might not be realized although worthy when it hurts the benefit of the nation or bring harm to others.

We are living to dream and desire new goals, without a goal, we would be lazy and lose confidence in life. An ambitious aim could encourage us to thrive and the success of winning a goal is so sweet that we all want to try our best to fulfill it. When I was a middle school student, I asked my sister how could I be useful for my country in the future, the answer I got and would never forget is that I should try my best to enter a high quality university to learn more knowledge and seek answers before making contribution to society. I remembered this answer and the goal of passing the university entrance exam became a dream in my mind. I gave up my spare time, day after day, my sister's encouragement brings me strong determination and the strength of chasing a good score. My hard work brings the fruit of entering my university which also gives me confidence to achieve another goal of studying abroad.

Meanwhile, a goal should be pondered before action when it relates others but not oneself. We must take into consideration of others' feeling and benefit. For instance, a man who is too poor to live on should never break into a bank as a thief; Tom should not play guitar in the dormitory when his roommates are sleeping. Zhou enlai was a man adored by all Chinese people because he had the virtue of respecting others, when he was in a queue waiting to make his hair cut, he refused the suggestion of jumping the queue when his fellows advised him, his consideration of others brings applause although he wasted a lot of cherish time as a busy man. Accordingly, we would not deny to admit that not saving the time to do other business but wasting time waiting is also, maybe even, worthy for Mr. Zhou.

Finally, we sometimes must gave up a goal when the goal is too high to achieve or may sacrifice the benefit of out nation. On the one hand, a man who is working in the office with a salary of 300 dollars per month does not have the possibility to purchase an airplane, therefore, the goal could only be a dream and he should forget this impossible matter and be optimism to concentrate himself on his work so as to fulfill other goals he could achieve; on the other hand, a leader could always takes the interest of his citizens when making a decision, to guarantee a peace life for the world people, any war is not welcomed and the benefit of nation should be in the first place for ever.

To sum up, a worthy goal should be given enough consideration before taken actions, only bringing benefit to ourselves without damaging others' interest could be called a worthy goal and deserve to strive for.
