ISSUE51:"Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student."

There is no doubt that education should pay more attention on the needs and interests of students, but it is impossible for education to satisfy every student. Students should learn all kinds of basic knowledge and skills for their full development.

Looking from the purpose of education, interest is most vital for the development of students. Education system which considers the interest and special of students is more scientific, effective and reasonable, and it can help students to fully reveal their potential and talent. Albert Einstein says that :"interest is the best teacher". As for a society, the purpose of education is to train sorts of people, if interest is ignored, students can not make themselves best for the society, and even bury some genius. Over regarding on the scores, students who have the interest to invent may lose their motivation. Taking Copernicus for example, he once studied medicine at first, but what he really like is astronomy, so with this interest, he learned astronomy by himself, and eventually became a great astronomer。

People may take it for granted that the more specifically designed education one can get according to his/her own needs and interest, the more effective it will turn out to be. Student will be much actively engaged in study with out the necessity to learn what does not interest them, or what seem to be no apparent help to their future careers. However, making study plan and prepare educational resource for each student's interest is realistic, because in contrast with the huge number of students, the education resource is limited and even indigent. Such an education pattern does not make full use of modern educational resources.

Even though the educational resource is abound, specifically designed education should not take the place of traditional general education. The purpose of education is to train students who is full developed. If a students only study in a narrow area which they are most interest in their knowledge is too limited and half-baked. It will do harm to their further study, then can not reach the crest of scientific mountain. For example the Leonardo da Vinci ,who was an Italian Renaissance architect, musician, anatomist, inventor, engineer, sculptor, geometer, and painter. Each area can do some benefits for each other, and makes him a great man. After all, formal education is different from specially designed education, formal education's final purpose is to transport fully developing and special students.

Of course, students can not accept that their course is completely uniform, school have the responsibility to arrange students with different interest to different courses, basing on the necessary course is ensured. For instance, as for students whose major is history, school can accord to different interest, afford special division such as art history and literature history, so that different needs of students can be satisfied, and ensure the co-development of whole and special.

In sum, school and society should pay more attention to the interest education and afford some special course to satisfy different students. However the base course is more important and can fully develop a student indeed.
