题目：ISSUE56 - "Governments should focus more on solving the immediate problems of today rather than trying to solve the anticipated problems of the future."

怎么这几次只能搞两端了，也不知道这样写行不行

Whether the government should place more emphasis on the immediate problems or the anticipated ones is always to be controversial issue. In my observation, a well balance of the two should be maintained without biases on either side, since the sound and wholesome development of a society must based on the proper solution of the present issue and the appropriate dealing with the future problems.

In the first place, the dominant significance of the solution of immediate problems should never be ignored. Properly solving the immediate problems, such as the unemployment, the healthcare coverage blind spots, the illiteracy, can lead to the stability and harmony of the society, which is the basic need for the wholesome development of a country. With the suitable and stable environment, the government can reassure people with all walks to deal with their routine works, thus it can lead to the normal functions of the organic institution. On the contrary, failing to solve the immediate and ticklish social problems will seriously influence the prosperity of the society. In retrospect into the history, there are myriads of paradigmatic examples to illustrate this point. Take the former Soviet Union for instance, which was one of the most powerful nation in the 20th century. The inappropriate tackling with the current social problems such as the limitation of daily articles or the astounding unemployment rate and so forth, finally trapped this magnificent country and it broke and separated into pieces. Therefore, the importance of solving the immediate urgent problems cannot be emphasized too much .

"The governors", just as the dean of Public Management Department of my college said (and I paraphrase),"always find themselves in the dilemma of dealing with the present and the future, while ignoring the future crisis should never be admitted." That is to say, obtaining a sense of crisis about the future and keeping a eye on the anticipated problems should be a wise decision for the government. For fitting example, one need no further to refer to the influence brought by science and technology. With the rapid development of science and technology, human beings will not be worried about the basic need of the daily life- delicious food and warm shelter are provided by the increasing enriching material fortune. However, following these benefits is the negative even detrimental potential effect brought by the overdevelopment. The cloning technology as well as the nuclear weapons all poses great threat to the order of the moral and ethical system and even the existence of humankind. To put aside the future crisis without caring about is no less to driving a car while not looking forward. Simply put, the governors should bear the sense of crisis of the future problems in heart.

To sum up, as a government, it should always keep a well balance of the immediate and ticksh problem and the ones of the future, for the sake of a sound and wholesome development of the society.
