So, it sounds like you are already in a program at ****.  Why do you want to leave so early in their program?

We are a computational lab, where we do a lot of programming in C and Perl. You have a good chemical background, but not a lot computing.  I am sure you can make up for the lack of this, but are you still interested?

Also, I expect a lot of work out of my graduate students for them to learn, study, and perform research.  In return, this rigor provides a very solid education/foundation for a student that helps them land promising jobs in the future.  I hope this is still interesting for you.

If you are, I will look into your application.

感觉他给你list了种种你今后读他program，会遇到的难题，so，知难而上or知难而退，看你啦。。。

我怎么感觉是对你挺感兴趣的啊~不然教授每天收那么多套磁信，也不会拿出这么多时间针对你的情况给你列出这么多可能的情况来专门给你回信的啊……我觉得可以继续试试啊~毕竟又不浪费你什么，只是几封邮件的时间而已……

This prof is telling the truth and interested in you.
One thing is, the prof is suggesting that he will be a tough guy, and you'd better take it seriously. Boss can be very tough if he told you in first place, then you're expected to handle it.

人生有些决定是大胆的，但是那并不代表这些决定是错误的。
