提纲：

1,I can’t agree with the speaker, Wr is an Irreplaceable form of documentation.

2,written record is more universal than video camera, as the consumption level of contemporary people, and convenience of using, video camera need video processing.
besides, we still need a video player to play it.

3,written record can be a manifestation of authority. Example, certificate，ID, passport, receipts

4,video camera does provide a accurate and completed record, however, the record represents externally, can’t competently record the background, person’s inner inside, analytical comments, which contains important cultural connotation.

5,video take advantage of timely capturing and recording. We should make good use of the video camera as well as the traditional ways.

From inscriptions on bones or tortoise shells in the early of shang and zhou Dynasty of China to the various language in the contemporary world, written record, which was born along with characters, has become a traditional and the most popular way of recording in people's daily life. However, with the advent of the information era, the digitization of information, which is more accurate, emerges in large numbers irresistibly accompanying with the invention of computer, video camera, audio equipment and so on. Nevertheless, when people enjoy the audiovisual records, written record still occurs in every corner of people' life and contain its unique denotation for the world, which is a greatly important form of documentation.

Written record is more frequently used than video camera in people's daily life, because a video camera is too expansive which is beyond the consumption level of contemporary people, especially in developing nations. Furthermore, video processing and video player are also demanded after recording which is not necessary by way of written record. On many occasion, it's more convenient to use written record. From the universality and convenience in different circumstances, video can not be a more important form of documentation than written records.

Besides the universality and convenience, the documentation of written records conceives wide spread social value which is irreplaceable. Compared with video camera, document represents a better and unique authenticity and authority of recording information. In some occasion, only by written record can certain documentation be valid. Document is an attestation of the business processes: A contract guarantees the benefits of both the companies and the clients. Rules and regulations keep the companies and markets well-ordered. Take a consideration of certificate as a proof of certain ability, receipts as proof of trade, a passport or an ID as proof of identity. All above are written record as documents. The authentic and authoritative information given by written record manifest the significance of it.

Video camera does provide an accurate and completed record, however, all of which only represents something externally. They are coarse and raw records compared with written records. By writing, written record provides the background of story, the description of people's inner minds, even the criticism and appreciation by the writers, which give the incidents and events happened emotions and connotations. Writing holds its unique beauty and meaning which is essential to culture. Video camera will never be substituted for novels and essay by writing, and literature, which is the art of writing record, will never be replaced by video.

Without any negation, video have the advantage of capturing, recording, processing, representing the scenes in motion, in which have predominance to written record. With multi-way of processing, video record provides more entertainment for people with more sensing information. Actually, in my conclusion, video camera and written record respectively play important roles in different occasions. Both of them have its own merits, so we should make good use of video technology as well as traditional written record. Only these two ways of record are used complementarily in recording our life can we enjoy a colorful life.
