I completely agree with part of thestatement that the ability for youth to socialize is of great importance indetermining the future of our society. However, it is unsuitable to say that wehave not yet learned the correct way to raise our children so that they canbuild a better society.

As glorious titles such as “the hope of thefuture” have clearly illustrated the importance of the children in a society, Ithink it is still instructive to figure out what is the meaning and thesignificance of socialization. Socialization, to some extent, can be treated asthe learning process of most of the skills and values a child should have tolive in a particular society. It is common senses that skills such ascommunicating skills, public behaviors and etc, are all basic necessities for anewly grown up. However, the value, ranging from their attitudes toward theirown life, their lovers or all the other people surrounding them to theirsociety, their own countries or even the culture of the human race, issometimes ignored, which I think might have much more influence on thedevelopment of our society. That’s the reason why governments decided to takemeasures to protect the youth from the violence and porn scenes in mass mediasince some of the institutions found that the criminal rate had a largerelationship with it. Furthermore, the status of the humanism education has beenrising nowadays, with its great effort to build the new generation’sphilosophy.

For thousands of years, parents have beenbothered by the difficulties in raising their children. In my opinion, thecultivation of our youth is quite a complex problem, when the learning processnot only happens in one’s family, but in schools, shops or even the bars theyouth celebrate their holidays. Thus it is the responsibility of the wholesociety to figure out better ways to nurture each member within it. And, fortunately,we have made it. If not, millions of children might still do a simple and hardwork in a sordid factory instead of doing a novel experiment in a highlyequipped physics laboratory. Also, the Japanese government’s successfullyeducation for their next generation helped them to become the second-largestafter the World War II and also they are famous worldwide for their manners.

Although there are always been somedrawbacks in the process of raising our youth due to the limitation of our humannature, since we have notice its weightiness, we are trying our best to makethings better. Nothing in the world is perfect, and never will be. If we neverstop our pace, the possibility to leave regret is dying down.
